I used to enjoy it but there's only so many times you can have the same set with similar lines. On a different note just watched the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Mrs Faraway has been banging on about this for years so I went and booked it foe August. Ticket prices range from a reasonable £35 to an eyewatering £700. Unfortunately we are NOT getting the top price tickets, somewhere in between is ample.

faraway saint
There's a series on Gold - Billy Connolly does................. A different topic is discussed with him from his home in Florida mixed with clips from his concerts/programmes over the years. Watched "Home" and "Nature", another 4 in the series. I've seen most, but not all, of the clips but it's nice to see him recall various points throughout his life. PS Just found this, explains it better than I did.................. With unprecedented access to Billy at home this series is all jokes and shaggy dog tales as Billy mixes his unique wisdom with classic stand up. A wonderful reminder of why we all love the Big Yin. Each of the episodes covers a particular topic, whether that's work, sex, travel, childhood and parenthood or love and marriage and showcases classic and hidden treasures of Billy's stand-up routines. The series, which is shot in and around his Florida home, provides an intimate guide to Billy's relationship with his material, as well as offering insights into his life. beyond our ken
There is new trailer on Prime for The Rig, my son is a very small bit-player in it and can be seen jumping to his feet at 1 min 37 seconds. 2nd row, extreme right. He was on the set 19 months ago, bigger stuff in the pipeline for him this year.

ALBIONSAINT
Started watching Miranda for the first time over the festive season, never watched it when it was out the first time so watching on Gold now, hate to admit it, but she is actually pretty funny, old school physical comedy with some look to the camera one liners.

Watched this yesterday, underwhelmed TBH. Could just have easily been a review of the year, the pictures/views from space really weren't as dramatic as I'd hoped.
StanleySaint
Finished the third series of Vienna Blood, has a feel of something between Sherlock Holmes and Ripper Street, really enjoyed it shame there are only 3 episodes per series.

Superb TV, hard to believe it was 7 years since the last series. They did give a very quick recap and this series looks as if it'll be as good as the previous 2. Sarah Lancashire is simply superb.
Callum Gilhooley
Watching BBC news . What a pile o pish , how can the Beeb get away with showing so many f**king repeats ? Almost exactly the same plot as the 6:30 news. 🤷♂️ I’ll give it one more try tomorrow, if it doesn’t improve - that’s it !! 😡.

Saw an interview with the creator Sally Wainwright in which she said it was always the intention to do a third series to give Ryan the time to grow into a stroppy teenager who would be prepared to defy Catherine, they wanted to use the same actor so needed to wait for him to age appropriately before filming it. The passage of time has done the anticipation of the new series no harm at all either.
