Lex
Find it hard to think about anything else before this game. I didn't know Simon other than that he was a familiar face at the Saints games that I'd nod to. I do know that he was brutally murdered a few hours after following the Buds on our last trip to Firhill. On a lighter note, if we win this we are safe. Leicester Saint
Reckon we'll do them 2-0. Steven Thompson and a Lee Mair own goal.
faraway saint
This is a massive game. A win and were close to safety, other results depending. Lose it and we're back in the mix. One good thing, Hearts play Hibs, hard to see Hibs getting anything from that as they are on the crest of a slump right now. They (Partick) are scoring gals in almost ever game so I'm going for 1-1 or 1-2, preferably the latter. Dibbles old paperboy
I'm liking the newfound positivity on BAWA at the moment. Before the last 3 games many had us as certainties for the play-off and certainties to lose the play off. What a difference an away draw at Inverness, home win against Motherwell and home win against Hibs has made to the mood of our support. I still think it is too early to say we are going to be safe from 11th. We have however put in 3 good performances since a dire performance against St Johnstone and have shown team spirit and battling performances in addition to some of our flair players hitting some form. If we can keep our momentum and good results going for a few more games it starts to heap more pressure on teams who can still mathematically catch us but whose own form is on a downward spiral. The problem with going by form in the bottom 6 is all the teams are so inconsistent and most of their bad form where they look as if they can't buy a win and will never score a goal again lasts longer than any short bursts of victories / unbeaten runs. At this moment in time ourselves, Partick Thistle and Hearts are the form teams in the bottom 6... whether that will continue all the way to the season's end is unlikely. Jammy deflected goals, goals where the ball didn't cross the line and abysmal refereeing decisions will no doubt all come into play and make a decisive change in some club's fortunes over the next few games. But for now I will savour the photos of Derek Adams decked on the turf at Tynecastle while 'the form team since the January window' now sit in 11th place 2 points adrift of the pack. There is a manager who has taken his team from 5th last season on the cusp of a European place to 11th so far and signed and dumped as many players as DL has this season and who doesn't have half the class of our Danny. SouthSection5
We have momentum, and a little bit of belief at the moment. Factor that in with a big away support, I can see us winning 2 or 3-0. Very much looking forward to this game - Friday night football! Dare
Lets take a big crowd to Firhill on Friday and cheer the team to another win. Thommo is playing really well just now and im going for big man as first goalscorer - thistle defence won't be able to handle the Hawk ! Dibbles old paperboy
I can't see us winning by 2 or 3. Thistle got a last minute equaliser against St Johnstone a few games ago and came from behind away at Killie to win with 5 minutes left. It would also require us to put in a 4th result + performance in a row. I'm hoping we win but don't think it will be comfortable if we do win. Moustache of Hyslop
Thistle have a poor home record, we will take a big crowd and we have the better players. The downside is that Jim Goodwin is suspended. Yesterday's outfield line up has been quite successful this season and the absence of Goodwin may see some tinkering. It would be good if Djemba-Djemba could some in as a like for like swap but I can't see it. Newton moved inside with Wylde on the right may be a solution. Luther G. Presley
Make no mistake Thistle will be delighted Goodwin is out for this game, this is why we must appeal his red card.

We'll never win an appeal, absolutely no chance - it's Jim Goodwin, and it's St.Mirren - but an appeal might give him a stay of execution, long enough to play at Firhill. billyg
A repeat of the attitude shown by the players recently , but sadly missing for most of the season , will see us safe with games to spare !

Miss Saint
Not been to an away game for a few years now, can't afford Friday either but fook it - my pals already have their tickets - will folk be taking their ticket seat or are folk likely to just sit anywhere? EDITED TO SAY - phoned the office, asked if any chance seats near by pals seats - result - got a seat right behind them - thank you ticket office lady :-) Edited April 21, 2014 by Miss Saint

King Kenny
How many tickets did we get? 1500 initial I think. Not sure what that old stand holds. I can see us taking 2,000 if available

JJ McG
Was going to go to this game but I've just been hit with a 600 quid car bill from the garage so can't afford it, a case of peroni and the tv will have to do.
