Deekthebuddie
The best strip we've ever had in modern times is the 2012/13 strip that we won the League Cup in. Reason why? It's a simple design, traditional, and unfussy. This new 'thing' is dreadful looking. And what's with sticking with this yellow trim idea? Since when did we become Notts County?? Not a lot to add- Totally agree
Deekthebuddie
Looks ok to me. No complaints here. How is using a keyboard with Braille working out for you?
Deekthebuddie
I hope to God its a joke or a prototype that get binned/ripped up to make dusters etc, because its a f**kING DISGRACE(excuse the language) and if the DOB approved something like that, they should be ashamed! billyg
I like the look of it. It's good to get away from the norm for one season , eg the Ajax in the 70s and the white with black pin in the 80s , as it ensures good sales when we return to the standard design in 2015 ! faraway saint
3 pages about a strip that's not been confirmed, and IMO unlikely to be ours, and, as usual, knickers well and truly twisted.

FFS- are you having a laugh, Looks like a really shite 1970's effort made of scratchy nylon & polyester, which leaves 2 patches of exposes flesh where your man-nipples used to be and hold enough static charge to jump start a bus! Deekthebuddie
Anybuddie got a decent picture of it? You will soon need to change your quote, if that is our real new strip to "I'd rather shag a bucket with a big hole in it,than wear that new f*cking top for just one minute"
Deekthebuddie
This is the pic from P&B, hope it's not for real, it's minging. Look at the top left of the picture, at shoulder level. Is that a gun being pointed at the model wearing the top? He may have put it on out if fear of getting popped!

Big Yards
The deal with JD Sports is a corporate deal that suits both parties. The Consortium no longer have any outlay or risk and the club receive a guaranteed payout regardless of whether 1 or 1000 strips are sold. There might be additonal payouts if sales exceed targets, but since we know that JD Sports effectively do one manufacturing run based on a set number of different sizes, then I'd assume that figures are pretty much fixed. St Mirren shirts are used by JD Sports to maximise their brand and I believe that is why we are seeing the Yellow away kit used so frequently this season. It is probably in the terms of the contract that the strips must be worn a set number of times regardless of whether there is a kit clash or not. The away kit will again be yellow which suits JD Sports and their logos. The only way to bring about change is a boycott of the replica shirts which is unlikely to happen. Some would argue that could affect the finance into the club, but since the deal is fixed it may not matter at all. We have already seen the impact of JD Sports advertising brands on the shirts, the stadium and recently the Dome. What next for St Mirren? Perhaps JD Sports will buy the club and rename everything to suit their brand - The JD Sports Stadium whose team is called the JD Saints. Yeah since when was illuminous yellow part of our main colours! Got it all over the stadium and even on the home top. It's amazing the power these companies have over sports teams now
faraway saint
Up to you to prove otherwise...... I would suggest its up to someone to prove it is our strip rather than some blurred effort that could be any team. Until its official my view is this isn't, prove me wrong. djchapsticks
I'm no getting this whole 'let's put yellow in the kits' thing. Especially the home kits. Our trim is red. It's always been red. Though that's nowhere near the biggest issue with that abomination of a kit.

blcknwhte_lj
Severe optimism here but Notts County wear very thin black and white stripes and have kits manufactured by JD as well.
