irvine_buddie
I fancy Argentina and they're not bad odds at 5/1. Not sure about the saints connection but I hear they have a short lad who is nearly as good as John McGinn.

Leicester Saint
I've said for a few years, Argentina will win this World Cup. Too much pressure on Brazil at home, a European team will struggle to win in South America, and Lionel Messi deserves it for the player he is. So, Argentina to win it. On connections, no obvious St.Mirren ones. However, from Leicester City, Jeff Schlupp in the Ghana squad and Riyad Mahrez in the Algeria squad. The Black Pele
Maybe playing in South America will make a difference but Argentina record at the World Cup is actually very poor for the players they have at their disposal. Lots of controversy around their win in 1978 and in 1990 they probably had the worst team to ever make the final. Good team in 86 with Diego bang on form though apparently he scored a dodgy goal against someone. On the form of recent World Cups they'll go out to the first good team they play but if Messi is at his best and they can come up with a decent defence they might have a chance

faraway saint
Check their record. The Black Pele
Might have a chance if Messi finds form and they have good defence. Usually their defence is rotten and Messi didn't do it in South Africa
