south_seas_saint 212 Report post Posted July 2, 2014 I have attached an alternate home and away kit needs a wee bit of tweaking I'm no artist ...it's.based on....... I wonder if you'll guess Anyway this is my first ever topic start albeit based on another thread Just wanted to suggest we look at ways of guiding our board on what we the fans like in the way of saints kits. Love or hate this suggestion of mine it's a start. How about putting up your ideas maybe we can influence what happens in future selections and maybe even JD or whoever the kit supplier might choose one of ours. Hit me with the usual saints banter with bouquets and brickbats all welcomed. I'm a bigboy

On the black and white strip the stripes look like the Roman numeral three or even the wickets I used to bowl at in the nets very occasionally at cricket training. Would like it more with a couple more stripes. Quite like the 'away' strip but why not stripes? Stripes is us!

TopCat 7,404 Report post Posted July 2, 2014 They're just the Germany tops with St Mirren badges and black strips on the home one aren't they
tuurner 46 Report post Posted July 2, 2014 (edited) I like them but they are too ordinary to be kits we would have. Come back with something more bizarre and it may be considered. Edited July 2, 2014 by tuurner
SBS 523 Report post Posted July 2, 2014 I like them but they are too ordinary to be kits we would have. Come back with something more bizarre and it may be considered. BUt the thing is...Carbrini can do ordinary Nice simple designs. Even the stupid logos on the sleeves don't look as offensive as they do on ours the last couple of years!
stevie-dee 789 Report post Posted July 2, 2014 SBS says BUt the thing is...Carbrini can do ordinary.... but as soon as they get near st mirren it looks like they get the young art student that wallops acid for breakfast to have a go at the st mirren gear...

ulysses 1,273 Report post Posted July 2, 2014 Maybe could have went for black shorts and socks for a change, with a black V neck? kitnew.jpg This is the ideal St Mirren strip. Looks brilliant. Can we not get a petition started that puts Poz forward to design the strips every year? Seriously, great stuff.

madmitch 159 Report post Posted July 2, 2014 Poz understands strip design and what appeals to St. Mirren fans. This season's efforts seem to be more about the sponsors logo taking centre stage. Also as far as I'm concerned get the yellow tae f**k!!
south_seas_saint 212 Report post Posted July 2, 2014 They're just the Germany tops with St Mirren badges and black strips on the home one aren't they : Aye they are Tc well done But even dressed up Germany strips would certainly look more like us than the things they will be wearing......I think I'll do a few more suggestions the more we come up with the somebody in high place might finally click
E=Mc2 3,502 Report post Posted July 2, 2014 In reply to the topic title, I suggest one starts by taking one's socks off first. Women just laugh when the last thing you take off is your socks.

I'm a bigboy Not keen on rehashed German tops, Something along the lines of Home top of 1999/2000 i think (the one with Cerco as sponsors) and 2012/13 Away top (Similar to Essidon Bombers Aussies rules football tops) No suggesting copying those, just a basis for something more pleasing on the eye that the current offerings of JD
