Match postponed as per quote from official site below; anyone know why? Is it to do with Aberdeen's European match?

The Scottish Professional Football League has confirmed this afternoon that St Mirren’s Scottish Premiership fixture away to Aberdeen on 16th August has been postponed.

A rescheduled date for the fixture at Pittodrie Stadium will be confirmed in due course.

We could play this match on International weekend on the Saturday 6th September.

There are Challenge Cup matches that day so no reason why our league game with the Dons couldnae be played.

Aberdeen will have players away on international duty, if there's an Under 21 game on so will we.

Plus I'm in Amsterdam that weekend, and I don't think they do Radio Scotland over there.

so generous of aberdeen - not, half price would have been too dear for this one, £10 saving for the bus will not come anywhere near the losses that have been incurred, free entry and free buses might just have made up for it along with free pies and bovril.

we would still be giving them money if the game hadn't been postponed

Yeah at 3pm on a Saturday, which suits far more fans and means more could go without taking time off work.

The fact they've moved it for no obvious reason to a fecking Tuesday night means they don't deserve any of our money.

It was around time last season that DL changed things about for a midweek game against Aberdeen, albeit a scheduled home game rather than a rearranged away fixture, to kickstart our season.

Following our (glorious unsure.png ) defeat to Celtic at the weekend we're still in touch with the bottom six teams in the division but we really need to start picking up points. It's all very well saying we just need to stick with it and the goals/points will come but that's been the message since at least the Dundee game and it's time to turn the talk into points.

As ever COYS!

still raging about this game being shifted for a "congestion of games" reason, so it gets moved to the busiest 12 days we have had so far this season, the club don't actually give a toss about fans, that is one thing that is blatantly obvious, and please dont give me the weak excuse that we agreed due to injuries to our players - we have more injuries now than then and that was allways going to be a possibility,it was a decision made by the club without any thoughts of how it affected the fans,or even worse with a thought of " the fans might not like it,but who cares about their thoughts"

I`d like to think we could get maybe a 0-0 draw up there but have a feeling we will lose again and compound matters with another reverse on Saturday.

Very dark days indeed.Have been to only one match ( v Hamilton)so far and had vaguely considered going last Saturday until I saw they had increased the entrance to £25.
