The 3rd round is usually seeded. Has there been any talk of how they are going to handle the fact that ICT and Rangers haven't played their 2nd round tie yet? ICT would be 5th seeds, and the H*ns would be bottom seeds, so the outcome of their tie changes the seeding pots for the draw.

Discussion regarding it on PNB.

Basically it seems like the SPFL forgot about this before arranging the draw.

Thought first half we were shocking going forward… Thommo was isolated up front and didn’t look fit to play, Wylde was in acres of space on the left and wasn’t getting the ball and when he did Tess wasn’t overlapping him meaning he was trying to skin 2 players or just crossing it from half way up the park. We looked pretty comfortable defensively first half I thought with Osbourne in midfield playing the Goodwin role (Although shit clearance and closing down for the goal). Second half when Osbourne came off we looked much better going forward but very shaky defensively.

Lucky to get away with a win, but we were due a bit of luck in front of goal and hopefully the floodgates will open now! Ball and Caldwell looked good when they came on so should get a good confidence boost for the weekend.

No easy games in the next round even though we are seeded so hopefully a home tie.

I'm not convinced that a home tie is necessarily a good thing. Away cup ties often attract a more boisterous support, and the sense of occasion can spur the players onto a more spirited performance. Then again....

Not much in it, to be honest.

Winning doesn't cover the problems, first half we were a shambles, what's happened to Kenny and McGinn, they look lost so far this season, one keeps trying World Cup passes and the other is trying to take on far too much. When these 2 don't play we are below average so whatever TC and the coaching team are doing with them they need to sort it.

I've tried staying optimistic about the squad as it is better than last seasons but for some reason we look every bit as bad as we did at this point last year. When Thommo was up front alone there was no direct link between the midfield and him, that link was Gowser last season and we look far better going forward with someone in that hole. Kenny could play there and it might be better for the team if he was moved a bit further up.

Hopefully something clicks in the team after last night as we should be good enough to complete and pick up points from United on Saturday if we get tactics right.

Every time Dunfermline got into our half in the second half they looked like scoring, Mcginn and Mclean weren't providing any defensive cover and without Goodwin/Osbourne in there Plummer and Cheesy were far too exposed.

Don't mind going 451 against a league 1 opposition if Drury and Wyldde were bombing forward to support Thommo with Mcginn and Mclean pushing on with Osbourne to cover but it just wasn't working like that there was a huge gap between the midfield and Thommo and we weren't passing the ball quick enough to break down their midfield never mind get near their defense.

Very nervous 1st half from us last night.

Gamble to start Osbourne and Thommo, sadly didn't really pay off for either.

Biggest concern for me was that we don't really know what we're supposed to be doing and at no point did McGinn or McLean look like bossing the midfield.

I don't know what Drury has done to deserve a starting slot so early on, surely we'd be better starting with Teale or Reilly and bringing him on later to get him settled in, he looks a bit lost.

Tommy obviously has a lot of work to do which he's obviously aware of, most important thing is that we're in the draw for the next round.

Agree with your comments. The running off the ball was not good last night and that was why there were gaps between the midfield and up front and behind.

One report commented on Osbourne 'trading passes' with our central defenders. I felt a bit sorry for him as it only appeared to be Cheesy and Plummer who were making themselves available.

Lower division crowd for lower division players. Oh, and why would Craig sign a player and play him ( Osbourne)if he is not fit ? Precisely, he hasnt an idea as a manager.

How many are likely to turn up on Saturday to witness another defeat ? Three games at home in a week would cost a fan £55. I`ve missed the first two and intend likewise on Saturday.these prices are madness.
