Knee jerkers, like you, would have sacked Lennon and we would have went down, clueless right enough. your point about going down right enough is purely your opinionwe finished 8th, yes, but taking into account the situations of hearts and rangers it was the equivalent of finishing 10th in a normal season and we were only safe by a couple of points there was no progress in the league in 4 years under Lennon. No closer to the top 6 or clear of a relegation battle. yes, he fluked the league cup triumph, but his league record showed he was clueless and tommy Craig should have gone with him you may be happy to clap defeat... Bud the Baker Posted August 18, 2014 Report Share Posted August 18, 2014 But some of us want progress in the league There is no further progress for a club of St. Mirren's stature - in a 12 team top division we will normally* be in the bottom 6 and looking to avoid relegation, although we are overdue our turn at being the diddy team doing well. * I agree with you that the mess that Rangers & Hearts have got themselves into has provided us with an opportunity to finish higher than we would normally have but however erratic our performances have been over the past few seasons we have won a major trophy and are still in the top division while a far larger club like Hibs sit trophyless a division below us.
