Murray7
It's a shambles & Goodwins no quite living up to his clean slate He gets more cards than Leigh Griffiths on Fathers' Day, always been the same. Can't see him cleaning his act up at this stage of his career tbh.
saltcoatsbuddie
but it isn't anybody else ,,as nobody else has the stupidity to put themselves into these situations,,another cowardly act by a man trying to guide our younger players through ,,I would kick him out of OUR club tomorrow a complete embarrassment yet again Just watched it. If it had been anyone else it would not even have been mentioned.
Big Yards
How bad is Marc Mcausland? Watching sportscene and it utterly embarrassing, honestly i have no words to describe him. Never going to move forward when we've got such a passenger in our team. Agreed. He would struggle in the junior leagues never mind the top league in Scotland. Must be the luckiest player in the country to have played at the highest level for so long yet be clearly out of his depth. Chris smith could possibly rival him. Only st mirren keep these passengers, everyone else boots them out!
Jocky
Sportscene showed Goody elbowing one of their boys as they contested a ball at the goal line. He could easily get done for it. He's fast becoming a liability we could do without.Quite sad that the BBC chose to highlight this particular incident given that there were several others throughout the match which were equally, if not more, worthy of closer scrutiny. The clip also failed to show the Utd player pretending to be dead for about 30 seconds then miraculously getting to his feet and sprinting away when he realised nothing was being made of it................not even his shove in Goodwin's back beforehand. And while on a rant about the BBC coverage............50/50 possession, Saints had more shots on target and more corners, yet we are treated to what looked like a one way traffic one sided match, which in all honesty it wasn't. United probably were the better team overall after 90 minutes, but I thought we actually did ok on a day when the ref gave us hee-haw, we were without several players, and at the end we got caught/punished for pushing up. Mid Calder Saint
Jocky. You are correct in your assessment. This is the usual BBC angle on our player. The Celtic player Van Dijk challenge on the Partick player last week was far worse with no action taken by the SFA.

foxbar_bud
Would really question anyone defending goodwin for this. As usual there was absolutly no need, throwing an elbow in the face of a young boy is something we would all be going mad it if they did it to one of our players. Ive just got round to watching the highlights, the defending is absolutly comical. And all Craig can say is the strikers arent scoring, we are embarrassing at the back, something that has been glaringly obvious for all to see for a while now. There are worse incidents at the dome on a Wednesday night! Genuinely think it looks accidental. Yep it's a farce, 0 clean sheets and nothing appears to be getting done about it. Everything we hear about is scoring, scoring scoring. If ain't broke don't fix it...well our defence is broken and nothing seems to have been done to fix it. We could try a back 5 for a change, try and stifle the game and nick a goal somehow.
TopCat
Like I said elsewhere, I will be absolutely amazed if the SFA cite Goodwin for that.

buddies1877
It's a natural movement of the elbow to a jaw. Nothing wrong with that jim does it all the time... A nothing incident
barney
its a shame, as jim is one of the few players we have who has any idea what he's doing on the pitch.

He's been offered a 3 game ban: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29896451 Looks like he will be missing for the games against Hamilton, St Johnstone and Inverness.
