Popular Post div
I am hearing that the club has been sold and our new owners will take over at some point this week. They are from Argentina, so get your money on the new manager being South American. Exciting, and absolutely terrifying in equal measure. Hold on to your hats !

aldo_j
Agree Div, exciting and terrifying! I suppose it's one area of uncertainty now closed, hopefully concentrate on a new manager and players coming in soon.

div
You can get 11/1 with McBookie on Guillermo Almada being appointed as our next manager, or 25/1 on Nolberto Solano. I've put a few quid on the former, since it's clear there has been some money already placed on him.
aldo_j
Almada was the one mentioned by Scott Burns the journo.

Kemp
I'm assuming it is the same group that seemed to leave their previous club in the shit. I'll give the new club owners a cautious welcome to the club. Do I trust the board 100% in this sale? No, there have been a lot of smoke and mirrors over the past couple of weeks once again. A short term boost though, assuming they will be getting the cheque book open this week to sign 5 players.

Kendo
Not what most of us wanted but we had our chance of a fans buy out and this nearly resulted in civil war. I guess that something like this was inevitable.
Isle Of Bute Saint
The season is going from bad to worse. Guillermo Almada what's his record but worryingly he does not know the Scottish game. That might not be such a worry if we were further up the league ,we are not we are heading to the trap door at supersonic speed.

div
I don't know anything about the new owners other than what I read when they were sniffing around Motherwell. I believe the model is to bring over youth South American players with a view of selling them on, however this only works with players who have a EU passport (most likely Spanish in this case), or are established internationalists who can get a work permit. Sounds a bit far fetched to me but I am sure there is more to it. Nolberto Solano was touted as being the manager of Motherwell but Scott Burns spoke to the Argies in December and suggested that this Uruguyan fella was the man ho would get the gig. It's all rumours and gossip at this stage. Deal is done though, and will go through this week. Don't ask me exactly when, I've no idea.

Ian, our two managers so far this season do know the Scottish game , yet we haven't won at home and have conceded in every game. I'm prepared to bet that , at least in the short term , that we will improve. Let's get our sights set on Motherwell and Ross Co , and worry later about next season and beyond !

I get what you are saying Billy but I find this very worrying. These worries might go if we bring in some decent players
Griff
Lets hope they can bring in three or four players very quickly , a decent winger , a striker and a centre half would do nicely for starters. Think their model might work , as loads of Argentinians have a Italian / Spanish background . Also wondered if the model was also to attract full internationalists from South Americas smaller countries
