Evil_Panda
So, who all piled money on Guillermo Almada being appointed Saints new manager?
TsuMirren
So, who all piled money on Guillermo Almada being appointed Saints new manager? Gilmour, Marshall, Purves, McAusland, Div and I'm not sure who else. Actually, shit, Div betting on it means there's no chance.
dakota7
Would appear Div has been fed a line over the sale.

thewhiteman
share register certainly does, all share registers do. not the latest one we were provided with although we have managed to track down an older version with some contact details however, as well as general publication of interest to buy private shares, a few individuals have been approached which was the start of the second phase of share accumulation and is really just getting started there are still a couple pending with the club secretary at the moment from the first phase. before the AGM we will clarify total shareholding owned by the trust also on the point about the 90% having to offer to buy the 100% (although already replied to by rea) as an I.P.S. the trusts constitution does not allow for their shares to be sold on and can only be passed onto another group with a similar leagal constitution eg one person one vote etc.

slapsalmon
So, who all piled money on Guillermo Almada being appointed Saints new manager? As soon as this thread started I thought there's too much shennanigans, it's a double bluff, so stuck a tenner on David Thompson at 33/1 then the English group released their statement haha. pozbaird
Seen on twitter the deal could be off. I believe nothing until someone tips off Div, Div posts it here, the board say nothing, and at least two journalists say it's bollocks / it's on / it's off again. Until then, I'm in / out. whydowebother
DEAL IS OFF ! Official ! At my local shop , they had a decent wee 2 for 1 on Budweiser but alas it's off. The sale of the club ? I'd rather take Div's word that it's on. I guess it's 'imminent' ?

mjb
Google or Babel translation can be laughable, however the more you look at Argentinian or Chilean articles on Mr.Pini there is a pattern. Third party ownership of players, front companies owning clubs, tax avoidance and being chased by Argentinian taxman, using club to transfer players who have never played for them.He also seems to have a celebrity "Hello" type lifestyle. He's a lawyer/accountant to top it all.Added to that is the financial chaos in Argentina and the strict currency export controls. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see. Missed the obvious clincher in the dodginess stakes; previous involvement with Rangers(of Chile).

scottd
I hope it is off. These Argentinians sound shady as f**k. Wonder if they would pass any fit and proper person test?

div
Situation remains unchanged. Even Andy Newport, who said on Sunday there was "no truth" in the story I published, acknowledged last night that a £1.5m bid was on the table. Who said the deal was dead ?
