TopCat
Welcome aboard! I remember us being linked with him back when he played with Airdrie. It's taken us ten years since then to finally get him. Let's hope he will be worth the wait...

foxbar_bud
I think he will be a good signing, think Teales strategy in bringing in players has been a bit scattergun, obviously made worse by the loss of McLean, but i have a feeling Gow could turn out to be a good one. hopefully anyway. Kendo
Potentially a fantastic signing as he has similar qualities as Kenny McLean. However it's a gamble and a few are already sharpening their knives. Hope he does well and rams a few messages down a few people's throats. Seaside Nipper
Hmmmm, well if he's motivated and wants to play for Gary , all good and well, I'm sure that's the case. If he was not striking the right tone ( oops ), never mind goals in training and his trial period, Gary Teale certainly wouldn't touch him. We have to trust the Managers judgement, hes certainly closer to it and more a football man than any of us on here at any rate. It would be ironic indeed if AG turned out to be the difference to our season. There would be a poetic boo boy symmetry to it all Edited February 20, 2015 by Seaside Nipper
bigjerseybuddie
We have been guilty of being lacking in streetwiseness(?) perhaps his experience will help others around him and we won't be quite as soft. We have for a long time suffered from having our tummy tickled far too often. Obviously it was only a kick about against new York but he looked like he knew what he was doing. I don't think it's a case of ramming posts down people's necks. Alan Gow has shat on us before I think it's fair if the fans are semi reluctant to welcome him with open arms. In saying that if he does the business, good. That's what he's paid to do.
oaksoft
Alan Gow has shat on us before Oh FFS - seriously? Shat on? Because he chose another employer from Saints? Melodrama at its finest.

Explain "shat on us" ETA Oaky beat me to it, FFS! PS Some moron over on Facebook already wishing him an injury. We have some really nice people who "support" our club. Rabinho
Oh FFS - seriously? Shat on? Because he chose another employer from Saints? Melodrama at its finest. Thinking back to when he 'shat' on us, Lennon foolishly blabbed to anyone that would listen that we'd offered him a contract. All Gow did was take a better deal with Motherwell. It signalled the end of Danny's diary on the official site.
JM1
Hopefully Gow can recapture the scintillating form he had for...oh.
Kendo
In saying that if he does the business, good. That's what he's paid to do. So previous legends are only doing what they're paid to do? We've had the likes of Ball, Caldwell, Marwood etc etc pass through the club lately. One things for sure Gow won't be any worse. All Gow did was take a better deal with Motherwell. It signalled the end of Danny's diary on the official site. I have no axe to grind if a player, in a short career, accepts a better contract. There is no such thing as loyalty in football these days. He has signed a short term contract and he will get my full support. If he scores a goal that keeps us up then he will be a hero. Now....what about our fecking defence? That is more worrying than signing a player, who once turned us down, for 3 months.
TopCat
It's a 3 month deal, so will be costing the club in the region of 5k in wages. When you think of the money we brought in in January, it's a very low cost punt. If he scores one important goal or makes one important assist, he will be more than worth it.
