TopCat
http://www.saintmirren.net/pages/?p=41263 Appears he will be overseeing the commercial department. When was the last time we appointed a new director to the board? Take it this means the sale to the Argies is finished?
Magic Monkey
Yeah, as I put in the 'Sale this week...' thread - this is really odd if the club is still being sold. So I'd infer that we're not being sold any more. Of course, bringing someone in to develop our off-the-pitch commerce would, if successful, only add to our value. On the flip side, that could be a moot point if we get relegated.
linwood buddie
Any chance we can swap him for Scott McDonald he could multi task?.
Mid Calder Saint
Some form of statement from The Chairman would be appropriate.I personally have always been of the opinion that is the Shareholders duty to appoint Directors. When was the last time we appointed a new director to the board? Take it this means the sale to the Argies is finished? Richard Atkinson and Chris Stewart would be the last two. Think that was 2010 or 2011. Before that Gordon Scott at the end of 2003. From a bit of digging this is his company. They own one of the bits near the ground: http://hplpaisley.com/ Wonder if he'll be tasked with putting in the office space at the ground that was mooted in the paperwork ahead of the AGM. A hard hitting interview with him here: http://www.businessdailyafrica.com/Entrepreneur-with-big-dreams/-/1248928/1656784/-/item/0/-/10lxu32/-/index.html
beyond our ken
But we already had a commercial manager and a director that sat above him, this begs the question have we actually appointed Ian to assist Brian or is he a replacement? TsuMirren
Overhaul the commercial information on the website. "<insert name> Bowling Club might be able to accomodate you" has to become a thing of the past.
Hendo
For a minute there I thought my moment had arrived. I'm sure the other Ian Henderson will do a sterling job.

div
But we already had a commercial manager and a director that sat above him, this begs the question have we actually appointed Ian to assist Brian or is he a replacement? Brian Caldwell is the general manager of the club and Campbell Kennedy is the Commercial Manager. I imagine Campbell will now report directly to Ian and that some of the commercial stuff that was landed on Brian will now pass over. Another pair of hands certainly won't do any harm at all IMO ! Will Campbell be happy about this? A long term servant of the club and man in charge of commercial dept now has to report to someone else?! pozbaird
Surely by now someone has posted he's a sausage roll thief, swanning around in a club tie? Been out all day, I might have missed it.
Bud the Baker
REA was Commericial Director until he left, I don't know if any of the remaining Board members took up this role or if it just became a joint responsibility.
