El Gingero
Just back from a dinner with John McKelvie, Jimmy Nicholl & Paul Reid. Brilliant. Anyone heard Paul Reid?
Stuart Dickson
Not seen either Nicholl or Reid. Like Cockles Gaughan is the best I've seen. John Rowbotham was really funny too. Football wise Duncan McKenzie was probably the most interesting and the most generous. McAvennie was also brilliant

windae cleaner
Gahagan in league of his own. Also Andy Gorams stories worth the money (he also brought his own wine!!!). Didn't like Goram's pandered to the No Surrender crowd McAvennie who was also on stayed away from that shite and was quite good
sm74
I heard Jimmy Nicholl a couple of years ago, thoroughly entertaining. The St Mirren psychologist guy, who's name escapes me, also spoke at the same event. It was the day after the Cup win so was quite interesting. Going to the same event next week where Danny Lennon's going to be speaking, very much looking forward to it.
Stuart Dickson
Goram was a no show at ours. Ray Kennedy and John McKelvie landed up having to cover the whole slot. Apparently Goram is quite bad for that and it wasn't the first time he'd let McKelvie down It might have been because the Chairman of the club introduced me to McAvennie at the beginning of the night and I bought him a pint at the bar while sharing some memories of his time at St Mirren, but he did a lot of St Mirren material that night.
