HSS
An application for planning permission has been made to turn our old Stadium into a long stay/short stay car park. I can't find a link but it's in todays PDE.
buddiecat
Yes i read that application, not all bad news, it doesnt take much to flatten a car park and build a new ground

whydowebother
To be fair , they could use our current ground as its barely used for football these days
eastlandssaint
Maybe they are training our stewards to work there ?
Lord Pityme
I wouldn't be leaving my sweet smelling car sort of halfway line over by shortroods.... Phew!

I'd probably get Maserati and Skoda to switch places and surely , there should be an old cart horse in there , somewhere. .

Leicester Saint
Great news. Great lineup... Nissan Vauxhall Mazda Mercedes Toyota Renault Ford Citroen Maserati Zonda Skoda Subs: Clarkson, May, Hammond. It's sad the lack of home grown talent we can produce. Relying on so many from overseas. Good engine and the strikers should be firing on all cylinders. Could steer us to safety.

pod
But everyone can see we are crying out for a big hairy ar%#d no nonsense Land Rover at centre half? I would stick with the routemaster.
bluto
I would stick with the routemaster. Definitely park a bus at centre half, but I recommend a Mercedes Sprinter - big, solid yet much more mobile, as well as prettier... RickMcD
Just as a wee aside to this, a while back I came across a list of famous football players nicknames and included in it was an entry :- 'Mark Hughes (Wales) Spanky'. As they say, what you do in the privacy of your own bedroom.

saintnextlifetime
With Westmarch already a car park , do all our old fitba parks turn into car parks . .
bluto
And as an after thought.........What has a nickname got to do with a car park? Aye.... C'mon RIcky! Explain that one.... Ford Capri Mark II is the slenderest excuse of a connection I can construct.... And it's unroadworthy. Where (and how!) in yer Heid did that evolve?! RickMcD
Sparky.........not Spanky. As they say, what you do in the privacy of your own mind. You realise I was pointing out a genuine misprint in the list? It's still there. I looked just now. I thought it was funny. The tenuous connection is naming footballers after something else. Look up Soccerphile Footballers Names and you will find it easy enough. Who doesn't know Sparky was his proper nickname?

Stu
For anyone interested the planning application can be found here: http://pl.renfrewshire.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=_RENFR_DCAPR_29300 Land will be leased from Tesco. Will be another airport car park although there's to be a short stay bit too. Apparently there is planning permission for more than 200 houses on the land but nothing has ever happened with that.
