3 Red Cards All Appealed Successfully In One Game!

The appeals panel appeared to have bottled it. Naturally they have appealed Paul Paton's red card on the grounds of mistaken identity. SFA rules mean bizarrely Calum Butcher can't be cited instead of Paton so he gets off scot free.The panel appear to have decided it wouldn't be fair to Celtic if Van Dijk's ban for kicking Butcher was upheld if Paton's appeal is successful and Butcher can't be punished retrospectively. Curiously Niftci who was offered a 2 match ban after TV evidence showed him kicking Scott Brown on the head has won a second appeal in a matter of weeks. He must now be chalking up as many mad off the ball incidents as Jim Goodwin had before he cleaned up his act.

Makes you wonder about Arquin's red cards!
