According to the Record in November:

"About 100 attended last night’s agm at St Mirren Park and heard the club had made a cash loss of £70,000 but was still debt free."

Now, I know those accounts used the figures form May but WTF has happened since then to put us in such a bad position?

He's covering the cracks for the failure to sell the club January. Why feed us a story saying McLean left under a gents agreement and now that the shit has hit the fan, he was sold as we hit an iceberg.

I'm not buying anything the board are saying. For christs sake, they told a room full of saints fans that TC was the man for the job, then a few weeks later he is given his jotters.

Tell u what , in this doom laden season I can see the ultimate irony unfolding tomorrow night.

A significant number of years after Sutton saved us at Fir park , here comes the flip side, Sutton scores to all but condem us, omg , don't we just know it.

I cannae stomach the thought of it but that'll likely be the story with the twist , it's the St Mirren way, unfortunately.

Bump.

On as a sub, two goals in five minutes, ffs

We really are specialists in poetic failure

Reflecting on that performance tonight (and many other debacles) it was almost as though the players hardly knew each other. Aimless floated balls to no-one, no link-up play, and zero positional awareness.

I think the training system at the club is seriously wanting. The players can't defend (something that can be drilled in training), and our set-pieces are pitiful. It has been completely rudderless. To often players float off around 2ish at the latest during the week. What the f**k is that about? This is a full-time professional football club, allegedly. They should be getting kept at Ralston util they learn the basics and can string two f**king passes together.

Someone who can boot arses should have been brought in at the start of the seasons. Instead, it has been the old pals act, but no doubt with entrenched cliques and divisive loyalties. The BoD have been negligent in allowing this culture to develop, but the players are also to blame for their complacency.

The shambles tonight summed up everything that is rotten at the heart of the club.

Just got back from the game. If ever a game was to sum up a season this was it. There was completely absolutely no fight, no desire from the players at all, it was as if we were already mathematically relegated. You would expect a game near the end of a season between bottom and second bottom to be close separated by the odd goal not a 5-0 capitulation It was just embarrassing from start to finish and the scoreline flattered st mirren if anything. All 700 fans that were at the game tonight should get their money back.

Shambolic season. Players dont look fit, no shape, devoid of ideas atvset plays. Surely if you are rooted at the bottom struggling for goals, you practice them. We must have had 5 freekicks from just in front of the dug out which were hoofef to McManus at the edge of the box. Did we try something different? No.

I totally agree on the fitness thing. What happened to the Jason Naismith that bombed back and forth last season? Looks like Charlie Adam would strip him for pace now. Same with Kelly. Heard he was still running around in circles trying to find Ainsworth on the team bus.

Don't know everyone is upset...just a game....bunch of knickerwetters.....im so clearly superior in my maturity on the matter.....plenty of points left to play for.....and repeat.

That actually made me laugh, which is harder than it should be this morning.

I shouldn't but honestly, it was men against boys last night.

Pathetic

I thought the performance at St Johnstone was as bad as it could get......

Inept doesn't come close to that showing last night. We all new the writing was on the cards when the team sheet came out - 1 up and it's Arquin !!! Teale has been completely out of his depth since taking over. If he didn't have McLean for the first two months then we would have been cut adrift at the start of March.

£23 to watch that last night - I must be mad.

PS Can't ever remember the team coming out for the second half and not 1 fan applauding them onto the park - it was surreal.

We need to regroup quickly and build for next season. The board should announce a new title winning belter of a home strip then start the hunt now for a new manager. It starts with a new strip.:-) Goodwin and Teale are still contracted for a further year so can return to playing roles. Goodwin might finally find his level and excel.

I can't believe Gary Teale was given the gig after TC left. Shambles! Thompson said he wouldn't knock back the gig if offered it so looks like his nose has been out of joint ever since. If we hadn't signed Thomohawk we wouldn't have won the cup and been relegated a few years ago.

I will be buying my season ticket but sadly know of a few peeps that have had season tickets for a long time who won't be renewing.
