TopCat
I thought Samson was pretty good for us actually. He never missed a game for us in league or cup for 2 whole seasons. In the 2 seasons since his departure we have used 4 separate goalies, all of whom have spent time as number 1.
shull
David Elliot became a Polis. I was heartbroken when he lost his Job at Love Street. Edited April 21, 2015 by shull
djchapsticks
Dibble best for me. Can you name 2 other Saints who were polis? 2 goalies, in the loosest sense of the word. Derek Scrimgeour and Chris Smith.

Simon Templar?Failing that , not quite Saints but pretty good guys, Endeavour Morse and Hercule Poirot.
magnus
I can name an ex-Saint who hit 2 polis. And at least another 2 with "run ins" of one type or another.

Danny
You obviously never saw Denis Connaghan or Danny Stevenson. Both much better than Ludo. Denis was so good Celtic signed him. Still remember when Denis scored an own goal for Airdrie when playing for Celtic at Broomfield. He tried to throw the ball out and threw it over his own shoulder into the net! Even Jock Stein was p'ing himself. Did Denis not also play right wing for Saints reserves? And wee Billy McGann was a great keeper in 70-71 Most agile keeper I've ever seen although he was five foot nothing which was a bit of disadvantage! pozbaird
Stephane Bahoken was murder polis'. Surely a rich vein for Saints related / law enforcement humour to be had here!?
rabuddies
Did Denis not also play right wing for Saints reserves? He did indeed and on more than one occasion. Pretty quick, good in the air but not that skilful. It was fun to watch though.

Al Bundy
Is Paul Mathers still knocking about? He used to come on the pitch at half time and hoof aimless balls in the general direction of the sub goalie but hasn't been seen for a while. I always thought the idea of having a goalie coach was to improve the 'keeper's performance, work on his weaknesses and such like. Can't say I've noticed any improvement in any of the goalies while Mathers has been around.
linwood bud
Don't know if mathers is still here I heard on sun that he is away at the end of the season

I met him in a pub in Broughty Ferry on Saturday night, I asked him how he felt about the alarming rate at which Kello's career has nosedived, he didn't give much away but hinted that he thinks he's too good for us and is offended that he lost his place to Ridgers.
