Ayrshire Saints
Rumours over on P & B about Celtic playing some of their pre season games in Paisley due to pitch related issues at Darkheid. Anyone heard anything about this ???
Culloden-Bud
Strange considering there manager criticised our playing surface, which was odd in itself. But if it will bring in a few extra bucks, why not,
Ayrshire Saints
Those were exactly my thoughts. Very odd if true but as you say every little helps.
pozbaird
What pre-season games do Celtic play that would be played in an 8,000 capacity stadium? Don't they play stuff like Arsenal's Emirates tourney, away games in Ireland, or some 'glamour' European mob at home before heading to Dublin again to play another 'glamour' tourney at the Aviva Stadium? Either that or they are in New York or Boston playing Man Utd or someone. Edited May 10, 2015 by pozbaird
class of 76-77
Strange considering there manager criticised our playing surface, which was odd in itself. But if it will bring in a few extra bucks, why not, The Celtic manager is a grade one fud, he must be about the only person in the game who doesn't recognise the best playing surface in Scotland. If not the best then it's in the top 3.
windae cleaner
More likely their reserve side playing games here next season instead of Airdrie's. How could a 8000 stadium be big enough for their big team

SBS
NOt sure our ground staff would be up for that considering they normally don't like us playing too many home pre season games to allow the pitch to settle
stlucifer
I think it more likely they'd be looking at Murrayfield as an alternative.

But if it will bring in a few extra bucks, why not, To be fair, he did admit that we had one of the best surfaces in Scotland. It's just that it was the best of a bad bunch. kevo_smfc
We did this for Rangers reserves back in the late 90's and we managed to get Paul McKnight. Could be a chance to bring through some of their youth players to bulk our squad numbers up.
