Crowd Funded Corporate Hospitality - Season 2015-2016

Recommended Posts

If you can't make a game, instead of a swap section, how about a January transfer window for places? I plan to sell mine to an Aberdeen fan on the final day. You have been warned.

Count me in as an interested party Div, but will need to have a wee think about the number of games I'm likely to miss anyway, corporate or not.

Just fleshing out an idea I have had to see if there is any initial interest.

I’ve been thinking of an idea for next season where B&W Army would “crowd fund” a full table at hospitality next season for every game.

Say we buy a table of 12 and we have 18 home games. That would give us 216 "places" over the season (12 x18)

Thinking would be to then have 108 "shares" in the fund, each share being worth two seats at hospitality.

We would (hopefully) be able to negotiate a good price with the club based on the fact that we would be buying a table for every single league game, and that most of us would be season ticket holders.

So the total cost would be split by 108 to determine the "share price". Punters on the site could buy as many "shares" as they like. Once we have 108 sold we would be full.

We would then ballot those 108 randomly over the 18 home games, 6 per game, and those 6 people would then have two seats at the table for that match so they could bring a mate, the wife or whoever, making sure they would "know" someone at the table.

Hopefully that makes sense !

Idea really is to help the club with regular income from hospitality, whilst encouraging fans to socialise at hospitality, and hopefully reduce the cost.

I've asked the club to price up a table at every league game anyway, just to explore the actual costs but let me know what you think, or if you think its' a ridiculous idea !

I would deal with all the admin and payments and stuff.

Or we could just book it, as normal?

The point being that booking a whole table for a whole season attracts a discount, thus making it cheaper for the individual than booking it themselves.

Similarly guaranteeing the club a full table for the season with funds all paid in advance would I am sure be welcome.

Lastly it means members of the forum who talk to each other online would I am sure enjoy meeting each other and putting faces to online names.

Fair enough if you don't fancy it.

What are the chances of a Crowd Funded, Corporate Hospitality Billy-do hitting the forum the same night as Smisa test the water on buddies views to funding fan ownership/representation..? Just like buses you wait all day then....

What would be the option for PAYG punters? Seems a better deal, potentially, as you haven't already paid for your ticket so won't take a double dunt. Would the pitch-in cost be the same? Certainly a good concept, Div, either way.

I've asked CK to give me a price for the table for the season mate, so whatever that price is will be divided by the number of "shares" and that will be it, whether you are a ST holder or not.

I'm expecting the price to make it worth our while, but we will also need to factor in fees from whoever we use for the crowd funding and payment bit as they all take commission. I could take payments myself but I really don't want to administer it and wouldn't want to take any money unless all the "shares" are taken up.

Will need to see how the numbers stack up but seems the interest is there to at least give it a go.

Yep - good positive idea

I'd be interested at the right price

But travelling from further afield I'd be limited with dates

Also how would it work if you wanted to take Dad and son ?

Hmm, haven't thought about odd numbers. I suppose we could just sell all 216 places individually as "shares" but would then become difficult to manage and allocate, want to try and keep it as simple as possible but will give it some more thought once we have the pricing mate.
