He's a plumber, not a Texan oil magnate.

Aye, but is he fixing dripping taps. No, he's working in an oil related job and I know for a fact that, with bonuses, £2K per week for a skilled tradesman is easily achievable. I know of one (US) firm where fitters are paid £78K for being on call and a further £105 per day they are called in with a further £40 if its offshore. And they get an annual bonus on top. Wages in the north east have been higher than a lot of people not in the industry realise. If, as has been stated, he's pulling in £650 a week (plus bonuses?) from Peterhead then I doubt he could come anywhere near his combined wages kicking a ball for an SPFL club outwith the bigot brothers. Remember, he's been freed by both Aberdeen and Caley so who can blame him for sticking with what he knows.

Shut the f**k up

If he was ambitious as a footballer you nob he would take up full time football and try get as far as he can maybe far out earning what he could get as a plumber.

Perhaps he prefers plumbing to playing football whatever floats his boat

He might very well have his own plumbing business and gets to play football locally. That would certainly float some peoples boat.

or maybe the above. whistling.gif

He might very well. He might very well go sign for Spl team then bang in plenty of goals get a move to the premiership or championship n earn what he does in a year in a week.

Who knows only him he can do what the hell he wants

Or maybe, just maybe he doesn't see entertaining the likes of you to be the highlight of his life.

He clearly loves his life.

Who the f**k are you or anyone else to call him unambitious?

He never called him unambitious. He simply said "no ambition as a footballer"

2 very different things. Read before rant please it just makes you look a bit stupid.

There's no denying that in isolation and just from a footballing perspective he has been unambitious. This, maybe one day you'll notice, is a football forum where we debate those involved and how their actions, thoughts etc impact upon the game. Enjoy your pedestal though, redundant as it is.

All that said, there's no guarantee that he would make the step up. Maybe he knows that, maybe he'd have shown more ambition had his performances drawn real interest from English Championship clubs. Heck, you're getting all high and mighty when the lad himself may have settled, may have decided on easy. Fair play to him, but hardly worth your obvious attempt to look like Mr Righteous.

He does it all the time kenny. He is a pain in the arse.
