So Farewell Then Jim Diamond

Jim Diamond's father was in the fire service. When my wife still worked for Strathclyde Fire and Rescue, Jim Diamond was invited along one time and played an acoustic set at the big annual St Andrew's night charity ball. Most of the acts at these things still need paying, it's just another gig for them, but Jim Diamond donated his fee to the Fire Service charity. Between songs he told stories about his father and became quite tearful. A genuine bloke - was a very nice guy and played a beautiful set.

RIP.
