Mallan has the unfortunate problem of being better than every one of his team mates. None of the other St. Mirren players are on his wavelength and he is clearly becoming frustrated by this. He has shown so much more bite in the tackle than the rest of the midfield despite being the apparent flair player also. Like McLean he will go on to much better for things (likely for peanuts). I know it's a diddly cup but it's a semi final and an opportunity to play in a final....for a large part it looks like a training game and lack of desire to make things happen....that's what is so disappointing.
