norrie82
Hahahahaha. Both Sutton and Billy would be a one hundred percent improvement on our current strikers. They are Gallagher who is a runner only and Shankland who can't run or close down but has a decent shot.

Sonny
If Mehmet signs it would be going from bad to worse, honking footballer.. Memhet was our top scorer for 3 consecutive years in the SPL so he is a whole lot f**king better than the imposters that currently wear the stripes. why is Sutton not getting a game at his current club and why does Mehmet not have a club then? Sutton has played 10 times for the Fakes this season with his last start only two weeks ago against Partick Thistle. Mehmet only returned to the UK at the beginning of Dec at the end of the season in Malaysia and being away from the UK for 5 years. He scored 23 goals in his last 26 games in their SuperLeague. He has only been home for 4 weeks and you are complaining he does not have a club and he does not deserve an end-of-season break? Mehmet has stated that he has several offers on the table but was taking a short holiday. He will have a club in January ok. Just pray that it is us. Bobbyreid
Sutton scored plenty for us but remember he had Simon Lappin, the best crosser of a ball we have ever had feeding him with his left peg. The big issue right now is the lack of service to the strikers. Shankland is continually pulled out the box looking for the ball and the chances fall to the non striker Gallagher. If Mehmets is still as fit his graft would be a plus. Edited December 29, 2015 by Bobbyreid

El Gingero
Or Scan? Great player. Think he scored a belter against Celtic about 84/85 at Love St.
Hendo
Great player. Think he scored a belter against Celtic about 84/85 at Love St. 1983, won 4-2 after being 2-0 down.

Edinbuddie
Scanlon was a great player, and I don't remember him ever missing a penalty for us. The crossing comment is interesting because someone at Aberdeen was talking about the swapping of Scanlon for Weir, and was commenting that Scanlon would twist and turn, beat a defender but would often not put in the cross when the forwards were expecting it. The strikers found it difficult to make runs because they never knew when the ball would come in. Whereas Weir was more of a runner, would beat a man and play an early cross which suited strikers like McGhee, Black etc.

StanleySaint
On the subject of Scan remember a game at Ayr when he was getting some stick and a fan shouted 'Scanlan you're a clown' and he replied 'aye, but I'm getting paid for it' happy days! windae cleaner
Quite right. Scan loved to beat his man 3 times before he put in a cross! 2 footed hated a double drag back A good record of scoring against the old scum as well Ian Nicholson was a good crosser as Tom Hendrie used to good effect
