Herbie
I met Vanzy a couple of weeks ago and knew this was coming, but he's officially hung up his boots according to his Facebook post. Saints legend, forever in the history books.

Murray7
Would the Irish Dutch hunk consider himself a candidate for the vacant post at Ralston. He was in for the CEO role! Does he have any coaching credentials? Edited February 11, 2016 by Murray7

Saint Garf
Legend is an over used term in football, but Vanzy truly is. A league title and 2 Cup wins. A gent into the bargain. Would be delighted to have him back at the club in any capacity.

div
#prayfordiv Always a favourite player of mine. Gave his all in the stripes each and every time he played. Smashing bloke, great player, and hugely deserving of his place in our hall of fame.
billymehmet1
It's someone like this we should have in charge of our youth avadwmy I wonder. If there is a chance of thomo getting the role. As I think we need a guy with football experience not a badge holder
Drew
Great guy. It's important that he gets sorted with a new role in the game, as the football world would be a much poorer place without him.
djchapsticks
One of my favourite Saints players ever. Truly a guy who always seemed at his best in the stripes as it never really clicked anywhere else for him. St. Mirren and Vanzy always just seemed a good fit for one another. DougJamie
Yes is a great guy, and a total professional, IMO was MOTM in LC win, left everything on the pitch, and I really hope he stays in game in some capacity , regardless wish him all the best
TediousTom
I shall join in this appreciation of everything Vanzy. Good player, good guy and good luck to him with whatever he decides to do with his future. I met him a couple of times and he was a pleasant and likable young gentleman. The words of appreciation on this thread are well deserved, well deserved indeed.
saintnextlifetime
I'm just glad that Vanzy got to play in the Cup run and indeed took part , significantly , in the Cup Final . A great reward for a guy who gave his all for St Mirren F.C. .

I reckon the Academy gig will go to someone with previous experience of running a similar setup and getting results. Its too important to give to a rookie in my opinion.
