Frank McGarvey' wonky legs
Wilks in goals today? Hopefully Jason in the squad but unless Thommo and Goody start he may not get on.

JM1
Just walked past an older man telling the young child with him that Morton are actually called 'The Soapdodgers'. Good lad.
TopCat
Quite a team selection that. Naismith starting right away with no sub appearances prior, and dropping a deep midfielder (Carswell) for a striker (Clarkson). Bold!

TopCat
What a goal. Lovely play by Mallan in midfield, flick to Quinn, lays in Shanks, who lashes in top bag from 25 odd yards. YAS!

whydowebother
I don't think I've predicted a correct score all season so I think it's about time I got one correct. Saints to put in a great performance, scoring within the first 10 minutes and going on to win 5-1 Is it too early to quote myself ? COYS
nach0king
Must admit that was a glorious finish but from a Morton perspective it was once again toothlessness in midfield and nobody committing to a tackle at the back. Our goal conceded against Livingston last week was similar in that respect, albeit it finished in a tap-in.
TopCat
Definitely the better team here. Just had another half chance from a Mallan cross and a Shanks knockdown. Hopefully get that second goal before HT.
gc_SMFC
The midfield is dropping right on top of the defence when Morton have the ball. So far it's forced them long and out of play. But we actually look better pressing them. A bit more possession would settle us down a bit more
TopCat
Morton definitely better team last 5. A few half chances, one on target which was saved by the feet of Langfield. We've dropped off a bit and are defending a bit deep.
the barrhead teacher
Morton dominating posession but we do look dangerous in attack
TopCat
HT 1-0 Been a pretty decent game actually, good pace to it and a few half chances to either side. What separates the teams is a real bit of quality. A lovely flick by Mallan to Quinn, a perfectly weighted pass by Rocco, and a stunning 25 yard finish by Shankland. Superb goal. Morton have huffed and puffed and they've looked dangerous on occasion, but we have defended pretty well.

Drew
Superb finish from Shanks. We were pressing them well in first half hour, but seemed to back off later in the half. Fortunate that they have been profligate in front of goal.... so far.
JM1
That Morton performance in the first half hour was like watching an Ian Murray team. They gave us so much space and time. Great strike from Shankland for the goal.
