Stuart Dickson
It's good to see the growth in Scotland of women's football. Apparently now there are 249 registered football clubs (Under 13s upwards) with a total of 8,230 registered players. That's pretty rapid growth in a sport where the senior mens game seems to be going through one long terminal slump. Any senior football club that isn't pro active in this sector right now is missing out on a real opportunity.

Out of Scotland's total population of 5million(or Paisley's of 70,000) only 3000 people currently show an interest in the product on offer. What proportion of the nation-wide 8230 registered players would suddenly give a f**k about St Mirren! What real opportunity is there in being pro-active? More importantly what does "pro-active" represent in your vajazzled mind? (this wouldn't be yet another fatuous and vacuous swipe at St Mirren, would it?) It's important to me being a middle aged man to learn something new every day so I thank you for vajazzled, The present Mrs.McD was able to explain it. If you had used the variant spelling with 'g' in it, I could have possibly sussed where you were heading. Without a doubt the original poster was having a dig at St.Mirren. I'm not convinced that there is any real value in women's football in Scotland for senior teams. 2 hours ago, antrin said: Not really. St.Ricky
Well - I now travel for an hour and 15 minutes to watch the under 20s and then an hour and 15 minutes home again and enjoy it. I watch the first team (currently less enjoyable). I would watch a SMFC ladies team.

shull
Get the pitch Astroturfed and we can have lots of different St Mirren Teams, at varying ages playing at the Stadium many times over, each year. First Team Reserves Youths etc Women's Teams A St Mirren Juniors team to play in the West Junior Leagues.
