This wasn't a Scottish vote - as we can clearly see from the result. Sturgeon was on the Vote Remain side. She campaigned side by side with David Cameron. She appeared on National TV. She's a political leader who refused to let her MP's and MSP's the freedom to campaign as they wished. She failed. Her argument was shite. She lost. She let the side down. She's a useless pathetic individual and she should resign. And if she was in any way honourable she would do exactly that. Instead she's a power hungry mad woman who has decided to campaign to further divide the nation she professes to love. What a disgrace!

Fair enough. Why should Ruth Davidson stay on as leader of her party?

She isn't party leader. She only runs the divisional office. Her boss has already resigned. Anyway regardless Ruth Davidson put on one of the best remain performances in any of the TV debates. She was absolutely solid up against the political heavyweight that Boris Johnston is and she fought and argued against a man who could potentially be her next boss with a degree of commitment, passion and honesty seldom seen in Scottish politics. Tell me Oaksoft could you ever envisage one of the SNP MSP's with career ambitions ever tackling Nicola Sturgeon or Alex Salmond head on?

Sturgeon needs to go. She pledged to fight for the whole of the UK - yet now she's back to trying to split the country yet again.

You should tell her that yourself.

She seems to think she is the leader of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
I am unaware of anyone else holding that title.

Come on now. That wouldn't suit StuDick's agenda. Haven't you learned how to use the ignore function?

Cameron has resigned. He's paid the price. Corby, Faron and Sturgeon now also need to go. It was their utterly ineffectual performances on TV that meant the lost the argument to Johnson, Gove and Farage

Again, why is Sturgeons name mentioned? She campaigned for 'Remain' and Scotland as a whole had a majority vote of remain?

What Sturgeon needs to understand, voting to leave the EU is not the same as voting to leave the Union.

SNP will go for it again, and once again they will fail.

Bring it on ........

Fed up of all this SNP shit ..... what have they actually done?

Whatever Corbyn is, he isn't a fool. He's playing the game he always intended to play. The fear campaign is now the best in town. "We no longer have the restraints of the EU to protect workers rights so the right wing will be able to repeal protection laws. The only way the working people of UK is to vote for a party who will keep the laws."

The long game.

I feel that, while Corbyn came across as a man of principle, (pre referendum), if the UK survives under the pressure of this divorce, we need a strong party to fight the excesses of the Tories who will use this change to force through policies which will negatively affect the most vulnerable of our citizens. Given the extent of mistrust of the liberals there needs to be an electable labour party. I find it hard to see that with a party led by JC.

Quotes the DM and expects us to take it seriously...

The Daily Mail quotes are from about 10 days ago. I'm pretty sure things have changed in Europe since then. Senior politicians from EU states already declaring they are open to talks and wishing Scotland well.

If traditional labour areas in Northern England voted to leave, surely Corbyn is closer to labour voters than the Blairite Mps trying to oust him?

Emily Thornberry shadow defence minister seems to have her sensible head on. Shame a few others in shadow cabinet don't.

Nope. The quotes are from Friday and Saturday of this week. All AFTER the vote. You're clutching at straws now Tony

Asked at the end of last week if an independent Scotland would be able to retain membership of the EU despite the rest of the UK opting to leave, the EC told The Scottish Mail on Sunday that the rules make it clear that Brexit applies across the whole of the UK.

Let's not kid ourself. This was said to ensure an IN vote. Once the dust settles the whole situation becomes fluid. Unprecedented is a word you'll hear often now.
