Half Time, game being played at Friendly Pace, both teams showing rustiness, if this was the shows at the

racecourse they would not be in full swing yet.

I expect St Mirren to wrap things up in the last quarter of the game.

alex rae on talking about shankland, says he's delighted, been trying to get him all summer.

Waiting to see what happens with Rocco Quinn, one more signing may be made.

Have to say I am impressed with Alex Rae and how he goes about his job,

we've made some fùck ups management wise in the last few seasons,

we are on the money with Alex.

HT 0-0

Scrappy pre season fayre so far. Saints probably had the better of it. Few half chances but nothing clear cut.

Ayr certainly getting stuck in, one of their hatchet men got a yellow for what looked like a straight red two footed challenge to me.

Morgan definitely looking sharpest for us, thought Hutton has been poor though.

Aye, has the feel of a pre-season game, as expected.

Ayr closing us down and looking to create on the break. Saints players not looking fully match fit. Sutton need to jump more often to win the ball, but that's John and always was.

Morgan looks most up for it tonight. A couple of scrambles at both ends but nothing of any real quality created by either side.

Lovely evening, though.

I'm off to Specsavers tomorrow. I think it's getting dark. Get the lights on!

Actually think Hutton has been okay, he's willing to get track players and get stuck in. Passing has been alright but he took too many touches near the end of the half and lost the ball to an Ayr forward.

Think Gallagher has been poor.
