And you claim not to post build?

Thread title, By Shurly: f**k The Road To Hampden - Shower of Shit.

And yet you take the chance to add a post?

As Forrest Gump once said, "Stoopid is what stoopid does".

Yet you follow him around pointing out the bleedin obvious?

I happen to think he's lost his marbles, even more than usual, but it's not your job to hassle him, let it go or become a mod and ban him................along with yourself and a few others. :P

Well done Alloa but some seem to think Jim is the Messiah. He was a good player for us but also a liability at times. Again, how come no other Championship Club signed him? He is probably seen as having played his best and also a loose cannon. No doubting his commitment is 100% but his time was up and I wish him all the best. At least give our new players time to settle in.

I don't think JG was the Messiah , but I think he was a holding midfielder who could sit in and protect the back four. We don't have a specialist in that position in our squad now , and that to me is a major worry going forward !

Goodwin is at the level he is capable of now. His brain is still all there but his legs don't follow. Thanks for the memories and all that....move on...

Not wearing that mate , the standard in Scotland in general is abysmal and JG could have had at least one more season with us ! He has mom awards v ICT and Ross C this season so far !

I actually agree with you about the holding midfielder role, it was glaringly obvious against Morton that we are missing that position. I'm not convinced however about Jim being able to last the pace. I think Alex Rae should beg for one more wage to be found on the bill to find a holding midfielder.

When Jim played last year he was the best man in our team by a mile. He could easily still be playing for us. He decided to go part-time after we released him hence signing for Alloa. All the best Jim but you should still be wearing the stripes.

Agreed. Jim Goodwins 'problem'was that he was a big personality and had a presence, on and off the pitch. His influence is and was obvious and in my opinion he required some managing?! But as usual in recent years St Mirren failed to adequately manage the guy and keep him about the place, in the team for his qualities, his nous and team experience and value, easier it seems to put him on ignore and let him go.

Jim Goodin could have had a big part to play with St Mirren this season , again IMO. It's obvious at present that his influence is missing.

Still it was the club managers prerogative, hey hoh, so be it.
