Asking companies to pay the tax they should is now a Socialist utopia. Hahaha

Btw, you think my opinion is that there should be a Socialist utopia, then you claim I offer no opinion? Silly oakster

And if you do that you lose thousands of jobs.

That is the consequence of the idealistic socialist utopia you support.

There is the problem with your view Tony. It is very easy to say "simply tax the bastards". Quite another matter when you have to deal with the consequences of making that decision. The world has no place for romantic ideology. Practical considerations cannot be ignored.

FWIW I am not disagreeing with the IDEA that they should pay more tax. I am saying that in practice you wont get them to pay it without consequences.

There is the problem with your view Oakstur. It is very easy to say "simply tax the bastards and the jobs will go elsewhere". Quite another matter when they have to deal with the consequences of making that decision and losing all that potential profit. The world has no place for impractical financial ideology. Practical considerations cannot be ignored.

FWIW I am not disagreeing with the IDEA that they should try to pay less tax. I am saying that in practice you wont get them to do that without suffering consequences. As is about to happen with the EC.

How the above conversation could easily and more logically have gone...

So now I'm offering a view? Where does that sit in reference to my opinion? Do I now have opinions?

I think I shall leave you two idealists to talk amongst yourselves.

I'm more interested in practical solutions rather than idealistic wittering.
