Nope, its already being worked through, wee Anxious till end of season, then reviewed. can sign a free agent or two. Needs to move some out to free up wages in January.

I still expect Stubbzo to lead the team out against Celtic though, these interviews are just a smoke screen mate

I dont trust you not to be on the windup.

Having said that, if we get either Goody, McIntyre or Gus I'd be quite happy.

Always room to be surprised if someone we haven't thought of gets the job though.

Thanks to IOBS for giving us the biggest laugh on the thread so far with his "imminent Alloa announcement" post. You really have to do something special to beat any of his late night "shrooming" posts so well done bud.

Tin hat on but I see Davie Longwell has not been mentioned and I think he should be. His previous results and commitment to the club are unrivalled and has a top drawer track record with the club.

The summers finished, why would he want to return. :2cool

Because he clearly loves the football club and has been proven not only to be a great coach but great at developing players which is exactly the attributes we are looking for.

I don't get Gus being mentioned and Danny not, Danny had a superior record at St Mirren and since, having said that I don't think we should go back to either, of the names mentioned so far I'd go for Goodwin.

I'd get down to the bookies pronto, Gus is still on at 11/4. Kearney is evens.

If that's the level of CV we are aiming at for a top flight manager I'm worried. Brechin managed to get promoted ahead of him in his first season. He's also never had to rebuild a team.

I'd argue Samson, McAusland, Dummett, Newton, McGinn, McGowan, Teale, Thompson and Goncalves were much more key in the semi final and final.

But thankfully being a player has literally nothing to do with a being a manager.
Playing medals don't count for anything when appointing a manager. Nor should who you play for.

No offence mate but I think you’re living in cloud cuckoo land.  A manager who has the type of CV you seem to be angling for, is either already in a job or has his sights set higher than us.

A club like ours has two choices. Plump for one of the classic “experienced” managerial merry-go-round candidates or take a punt on a confident young manager who might not have a CV as long as your arm, but has something about them........you know........like we did with Jack Ross.
