Season 17/18 St Mirren Kit

Have we had a recent supplier whose strips didn't present any problems for the buyer?
I remember us having problems with Hummel a few years back, and obviously JD's failings have been well documented again, and again, and again......................

Pre- bib top perhaps?

Bump.

Anyone spotted the reclusive four-hooped St Mirren home sock yet? Maybe they only venture out at night.

Have you ordered a pair?

Hell no, just wondering if anyone who did want a pair got them - as shown on the club e-store. Only asking because I haven't seen the team wearing them. Cannot be difficult to actually show the merchandise you'll actually get, would you agree?

The School Holidays will be over in a couple of weeks.

Outrageously, there are many young ones unable to wear any of the brand new Saints Strips.

Any other with it Business would have their stock out at the optimum time

However, we are still waiting. The Kits should have been on sale from April, and hopefully our Club is planning now to launch the 18/19 Kits in APRIL 2018.

MEANWHILE, WHAT ABOUT A FECKING APOLOGY FROM GORDON,  THE BOARD AND THE COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT ?

ABSOLUTELY TOTAL INCOMPETENCE.

A disgrace

Aside from having kits out in April (I'd like the team to reveal and wear the following season's kit in the final home game of the preceeding season, followed by the public launch in early to mid May), then I cannot find anything to disagree with here.

Yeah it usually is, I've certainly not been on any website that sells one of the bigot brothers tops though... :o

It could be as little as interests in the same category, like 'football', 'football shirt'. Depends how much really is getting spent on the advertising for those key words.

I am assuming our Club signed a Contract with reasonable demands on it.

Ditch Joma and wear last years Strips.

The club signed with Joma. No-one from Joma held a gun to Gordon Scott's head while he signed. The club must have met with, or had offers put to them from Macron, Puma, Knock-off Nike, Off-the-shelf Adidas, whoever. The club must have then decided that from all options on the table, Joma were the best. The club should, from any 'third party kit supplier' be expecting badges to remain in place, demand to be met, certainly not to have supply issues and the league season hasn't even started. Christ, between them, the club and Joma can't even get a photo of the socks online to actually be a photo of the actual socks the team wear. It's amateur hour.

Fcuking boo?  Deservedly so.

And why are you booing and sticking up for the Club.

St Mirren have totally fecked up with Joma as they had done with JD Sports previously.

We are hopeless amateurs

So picture the scene last season. Joma are not going to say 'we're going to f*ck up everything, your badges will fall off the kit won't be out until July/ August blah blah blah.' They would of given us a pitch that the club would of accepted. If things go wrong it isn't great granted but how is that St Mirren football clubs fault?

Okay maybe the club can put an announcement out making us aware of the issues but they're completely bound by Joma providing the tops... Oh wait they did come out confirming the problem with the badges and distribution. What more do you genuinely expect from the club and what blame do you place at their door?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. How would the club possibly know this would happen?

What I expect is that having chosen to go with Joma, over other suppliers, the club should be on the phone to Joma, the Joma rep' should be in a meeting with club representatives, and Joma should be told what the club are unhappy with, what they expect from a partnership of this nature, and the terms of the contract will be reviewed should Joma replicate this for the next kit launch. The club should also be seeking to have the current problems with this initial kit sorted ASAP.

Who is the organ grinder here?

I imagine fully that has happened. Why should fans see sight of that? Club has already apologized for the hold up and badge issue. Can't expect much more from the club, they're at the mercy of the supplier.  Completely poor show from Joma though, that's who we should be mad at. Not just calling St Mirren amateurs because they couldn't see the future! Negative, not needed BS!
