Not far from the truth. Players' shirt sponsor is a betting company with 130 followers on Twitter and no website. The current chairman was emailing local builders last week asking them to sponsor the event.

There are big issues in the BDO but none more so than that current chairman who has been a disaster.

At the last BDO "major", he put fake names in the draws. This coincidentally resulted in his wife being a seed in the ladies comp!

Also responsible for the disastrous decision to leave Lakeside this year. It was a dump but at least it had the history and people went to it.

It's worth following darts forums and Justin Credible Darts blog to read about the total mess the BDO has become.

Came across this quote on my Facebook account from 4 years ago.....................only change is women's darts has improved.

Watching women's darts on BBC, the 5 & 1 were getting hammered. 🎯😝 The commentators are trash, poor patter & cant count and the cameraman misses the final dart on a regular basis, amateur to say the least.

Price v Anderson in tomorrow night's final. :clapping

Anderson, against all odds, get's to the final.

Chisnall, the eternal loser.

Price an utter fanny of a man, is a decent darts player.

I hope for lots of reasons Anderson PUMPS him.

Gary Anderson was 28/1 a few days ago,, should have had a bit of that, wasn't following it so thought maybe he had a broken wrist or something 🙈

I haven't followed the darts much this year, already stated, too much football, but, as I understand it, Anderson has had an injury and hasn't been keen on trekking around Europe to compete in tournaments, hence his "drip" in the rankings.

He's not quite the Anderson of old but when he hits a wee run of form, feck me, he's hot.

It's not all about the scores, it's WHEN you hit them.

I'll be cheering him on tomorrow night against that cnut from Wales.

I'm not keen on the Welsh.

Kicks off just after 7:30 tonight.

The lack of a crowd might help Price as he's a fanny and the crowd usually let him know it.

Anderson 11/10, Price 8/11

I entered the Jersey Open back in the early 90s when it was still a tour event.
I beat a guy from Southampton in the first round. I played a guy from Manchester in the second round and if I’d beaten him I was playing Eric Bristow in the following round. Unfortunately I lost 2-1.

I saw Eric at the bar later and said to him “Haw Eric, you’re lucky I didnae get through that second round or you would’ve got pumped”.

He replied “f**k off. You Welsh are all the same. All talk”.

I’ve never been so insulted in all my life.

Soots against Bunting.

Tough match, Bunting can be very hot, or cold.

If Alan plays like the last match he can win this. :thumbs2

Alan Soutar v Stephen Bunting

Oh ya beauty, Soots 10-5 Bunting.

Into the next round.

What a day, MVB and Bunting, two decent scalps.

Roll on tomorrow.

The last 32 starts around 12:30, The Arbroath star is scheduled to be on around 2:30

He plays Ron Meulemkamp, world number 50 from Holland.

If Soots wins this he'll be guaranteed £7,500, not a bad few days work for a fireman. :thumbs2

Soutar wins 10-7 after being 1-4 down.

Impressive.

Last 16 beckons this evening.

C'mon the Smokies.  :thumbs2
