Herbie
So, I'm getting a Border Collie in January and I want a Saints themed name for him. The problem is, the wife says naw to that plan. Any suggestions to names that are Saints related but she won't realise? I've already rejected Loser and Relegation so the usual grumpy f**ks need not respond... Ta.

Herbie
Has to be subtle I'm afraid. The likes of Gunni she'll suss straight away.

Stuart Dickson
WTF - who wears the trousers?!!! I've never owned a dog myself but I do know that to have one you need to be assertive. Here's your chance to get some practice in. Pick a name and tell her no matter what she calls it, you'll only be calling it the name you chose. The wife will soon cave in. pozbaird
Call the dug' Dickson. Then if it wants walked at 6am on a pishing wet Wednesday, just set it to ignore and go back to bed.

pozbaird
Final suggestion. Serious one this time (although my first suggestion was serious)... call him Paisley.
Big Jake
I had a Border Collie and he was called Buddie. Best Saints related name as far as I'm concerned [emoji1360]

pozbaird
Herbie, If you choose a name from a forumster's suggestion on here, you should donate a tenner to St Mirren's Woof Development.

scrappy coco
I had a border collie and named it Mirren.... it was a cracking wee dog but totally off it's nut. there just isn't enough hours in the day to exercise those dogs unless you live on a farm and can let it run free, so prepare yourself for the house getting wrecked from time to time, hope I've not put you off Bud.... Balmullo Bud
Our cat's called Mirren, but the family didn't go with Bud or Buddie when I suggested it for our collie. What about Shug (the dug) or Shuggy?

Callum Gilhooley
This is the sort of Community enterprise that SMISA need to take the lead on. I`ll collar one of the members to see it they can organise a vote. No doubt Dicko will have a tail about when he or a chum had a greyhound which used to win a lot. No matter what you decide to collie it,I have a feline you`d be better off with a cat !!
RickMcD
How about Under. Let's face, we're virtually always underdogs. The wife won't suss that.
Guest TPAFKATS
My daughter suggested Samson, you might get away with that, although it's not a ginger.
