faraway saint
Murray wins first set 6-3. First 7 games were superb, Brown playing all the shots but ran out of steam, Murray got him under control.

faraway saint
Like I said earlier, the first 7 games were close, since then, Murray has him in his pocket. 2 sets up, 4-1 up in the 3rd, early finish, good for him saving himself for bigger challenges. faraway saint
Next up for Murray, Fognini. Should be ok for Murray as this guy is better on clay. Scheduled for Friday.
faraway saint
4 British players through to round 3, first time in many a year. Is there possibly some sign that Murrays success is filtering down and we have other players that are, slowly, improving?

Aye, there is that angle but many players are representing other countries, and have done for years, that are recognised as officially FROM that country. Navratilova is a very famous member of that particular club. Doesn't bother me as the rules are the same for everybody.
faraway saint
Murray 3rd on centre court today, great tea time/early evening viewing. Won't be easy but I still expect him to win and move into round 4. On paper next big challenge could be Tsonga in the quarter final, if both get that far. shull
Some of our Media celebrating that there are 4 Britons in the third round. Maybe if the 4 were in their various Semis or Final then maybe worth a bit of Flag waving.

faraway saint
Murray won the first set 6-2 without doing too much. He's just lost the second 6-4 and he's playing very average, at best. The quality certainly isn't close to the match before when Nadal won through.
faraway saint
Murray steps it up enough to scoosh the 3rd set 6-1. Better. Edited July 7, 2017 by faraway saint

faraway saint
Murray wins, class but not overly impressive. He usually has one "weak" game every year at Wimbledon, hope this was it. Doesn't play till Monday, plenty time to rest up.
