shull Posted January 2, 2017 Report Posted January 2, 2017 (edited) 1973/74 What a superb Strip. Black and White in all the right places. Not the greatest Team we ever had but a few standouts there and a few not so good. Bobby McKean was always a hero in a St Mirren Kit. Davie Miller we could do with now. And the legendary Tony Fitzpatrick. Big Gus scored 5 v Hamilton previously. Ex Hibee and Ex Scotland Goalie , Herriot was not very good at all. Finished that Season in our worst ever position. Fergie was to arrive soon. Edited January 26, 2021 by shull Quote

Classy and always seemed to have time on the Ball. I used to like him a lot as well until he became head of HR at Babcock. He soon earned his nickname as Billy Lier when he was dealing with the union on stuff. I had to deal with him once personally myself on an injury that I received at work and his manners and conduct toward me was a disgrace. Needless to say it wasn't only Morton fans that used to boo him at meetings Oh and I won my injury claim Edited January 4, 2017 by renfrew Quote

That was an incredible squad of players, in a different time and different place. As I said before, they would wipe the floor with the current Premiership and would win it with the ease that Sellick are currently winning, Quote
