I went to this game with my older brother who was a bluenose.

Can't recall any other game that i went with him to watch.

Somehow we managed to get back from the game by public transport to the Doosan Stane for a beer before closing time.

Nobody in the pub would believe me when i bounce in and told them the score, until my brother came through the door with his face tripping him   😭

Shame this will never ever happen again but what a memory for old buds  :happyclapper

Unfortunately those days were well before me.  I'd have loved supporting St. Mirren when they could feel confident going to places like Parkhead and Ibrox and not fearful.

I'll need to make some time to read this thread from the very beginning.  I love seeing old photographs of former players and teams and reading people's memories of their favourite players while growing up! 👍

Shull, since you've posted over 900 posts in this thread it won't take too much reading. :1eye

Faraway Saint is also

Abu Dhabi Saints and Happy Go Lucky.

He has at least four aliases.

^^^^^^ Shull close to meltdown, Nurse for Cardonald, and quick.

Talking to himself was the symptom the last time you cracked up.

Tick tock. :byebye

Dear, oh dear.  You're all over the place!  Take a step away from the internet for a while.  I'm sure your sanity, or your loved ones (if you have any) will appreciate it.

That team went onto win the Cup Winners Cup that season. St Mirren were the first British club to play in Belgium since Heysel disaster.

I miss the NorthBank when it was all standing. The atmosphere was magic on big nights like that 😢

Talking to yourself again, why not invite "wee Shetland", another of your made up friends. 🤣🤣🤣

I only have one account on this forum.  I have no idea who Sidmirren is but he's got you "rattled" as you like to call it.  It's funny you use that word as there is also a breed of snake which is fond of "rattling".

It was a horrible kit and looking back I believe it was responsible for decline from 1987, see also the barcode strip which had a similar effect 🤔

Yeah, somebody should carry out a project on the thinness of the stripe against performance. With that said it was a pin stripe for the Scottish Cup victory.

The truth is out there…
