Dirty Sanchez
Enclosure seats went in during 1988. Other than identifying somebody in the picture, the biggest visual clue to the year is the fact that it's taken from the Caley Stand, which makes it at least 1994. Dirty Sanchez
It's a stick on to be this game v Hibs in 1998/99. http://www.stmirrenprogrammes.co.uk/StMirren/STM_Match_Details.php?Season=1998&GameID=199901090 TV footage from 98/99 (e.g. 1-5 v Morton ) shows exactly the same layout of advertising round the pitch, which is different from other seasons. We were barely getting over 2000 for a lot of games that season, so the busy stand points to the Hibs game where there were over 6000, as does the hint of white on the grass (9th January type weather). shull
John Hewitt was a great player. The dude in the background was a decent player although a bit temperamental and unfortunately liked a dive.

No - but Jacky Gilmour (Chief Scout) regretted missing out on this ex Camphill schoolboy after being given the run around by Rikki's neighbours who thought that Jack was a debt collector when he enquired about Rikki's exact address! As a result of this delay Ayr United got the benefit of Rikki's services instead of St Mirren.
