Drew Posted January 18, 2017 Author Report Posted January 18, 2017 Good luck to him (with the usual caveat). Of the players I'd be happy or relaxed to see leave, Jason was well down the list. Quote
pozbaird Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 (edited) Thanks for your efforts. That's that done. Now my attention turns to the players still here, and in trouble at the foot of the table with 14 games left. Edited January 18, 2017 by pozbaird Quote
Wilbur Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 How much was the undisclosed fee ? Quote

Is JR thinking 3-5-2, with wingbacks? I can't think of many obvious candidates for that role, to be honest. Quote

If Ross County had registered him after 25th June this summer (Naisy's 23rd birthday) we'd have got £0 for him. As such, with 5 months left of his contract to run you can only imagine this to be a "nominal fee". I'd guess £20K max. Must have been enough to tempt Jack into cashing in now, could pay for a couple of players to the summer. Quote

I just edited my post Drew, as I suspected me wanting the players to show some balls might be ooh err missus' material. Quote

Jack has been moaning about lack of a left back since he came in the door, so a new left back coming in, Irvine moving to right back, and spends on one more player would be my guess. Quote

buddies1877 Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 Good bit of business IMO been really poor since he came back from injury Quote

I won't lie, the idea of Irvine continuing in either full back position doesn't fill me with confidence. Quote

Cant figure out how changing the side of pitch he is on will make him be able to run faster or mark people . Quote

Slow as a week in the jail and is never near the player he is meant to be marking. Still dont see how playing left instead of right changes either. Quote
Frank McGarvey' wonky legs Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 So you can't see how playing him in his position will help him? Good point. [emoji38] His best years are well behind him usually like the player he is meant to be marking. Quote
Frank McGarvey' wonky legs Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 Maybe a nominal fee with a 30% sell on clause. Quote
Mr Zo Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 Good luck to Jason. Always liked him and I wish him all the best as always tried his best in what has been a hard few years for anyone playing for St Mirren.I hope his career kicks on after a nasty looking injury.Good luck Jason! Quote
JM1 Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 Likeable guy and one of the better players in that squad. Good luck to him. Quote
