magnus
Just heard Celtic offered Christian Ajer to Saints. Centre forward/ Centre half. We said not good enough. The 60 year old Celtic coach said that at 60 he was he good enough never mind Ajer. The boy has now signed for Kilmarnock. Worrying.

Why would Celtic offer him to us when a premiership team would take him? Absolute pish

scottd
Could be we weren't prepared to spend a lot of the budget on this guy. I'm sure there would have been a percentage of the wages to be paid and perhaps JR felt he could better value.
Stu
Think the limit on domestic loan deals in a season is five. Not sure if that's in total or at one time. If it's the former we've had Walsh, Hardie, Shankland and Storie with Loy taking us to five.If that limit is correct and it was a choice between Loy or this guy then I think we made the right choice. I'm sure Cellicfootballclub would have preferred their young protégé to flounder at the bottom of a league in a dogfight rather than taste the relativecomfort of an SPL side. NOT.
