TopCat
The football club is in the quarter finals of a major tournament for the first time since the season we won the league cup in 2013. Well done to JR and the team. Draw is tomorrow evening, we will draw one of: Celtic Patrick Thistle Aberdeen Ayr or Clyde Dunfermline or Hamilton Accies Hibs or Hearts Morton or Rangers Barring a Clyde win in the replay, we will be drawn against someone above us in the league table. Safe to say everyone else wants us in the next round. But who do we want? I fancy Patrick Thistle away, think we would beat them. Think we want to avoid trips to Aberdeen, Celtic and The New Club (if they beat Morton).

Celtic ,New team or Hearts/Hibs for finance.
TopCat
Ayr away. Already scheduled to have six games against them this season. A draw against them in this cup could mean eight games between the teams in one season, which is the most any two Scottish senior clubs can play each other competitively in a single term. Wonder if it's happened before?

Should have said in the regular season Just thought about this there and we were both actually wrong. It's 11 with the new League Cup format where you could meet a team in your group in the knockout stages. pozbaird
Fancy an away day to a place with lots of sand, so Tynecastle it is.

I would have thought East End Park would have been a better option for sand. You could take faraway with you since he might be missing the sand

Drew
I recall a season in the SPL when we seemed to be playing Motherwell every other week. I think Gus was the manager at the time.

Stoobs
My rudimentary calculations have concluded that 100% of the bookings today involved ex St.Mirren players. All from the Goodwin era.
