United 1-1 City, great pass and Fernandes, who's been poor for a long time, puts it away nicely. 79 mins. Quote

guinness Posted January 14, 2023 Report Posted January 14, 2023 2-1 Unit ed in the end. Poor match which livened up in the last ten or fifteen minutes with the two goals. City probably the better side but created next to nothing. Neither goalkeeper had much to do. Quote
faraway saint Posted January 14, 2023 Report Posted January 14, 2023 Watching Brighton v Liverpool. Brighton are a joy to watch, play it out from the back, move it fast and are really a decent football team. 0-0, 12 mins. Quote
faraway saint Posted January 14, 2023 Report Posted January 14, 2023 Hibs 0-1 Dundee United. St Johnstone 0-1 Livingston, who are rubbish seemingly. Quote

TPAFKA Jersey 2 Posted January 14, 2023 Report Posted January 14, 2023 Ok results for us today. Would’ve preferred Hibs hadn’t got the late equaliser but still better than them winning. A draw in the St. J/Livi game would’ve been better, but Livi winning isn’t the end of the world. We can catch them. Quote
faraway saint Posted January 15, 2023 Report Posted January 15, 2023 Aberdeen 1-1 Rangers, going into extra time. I tuned in to watch the 2nd half, tragic standard of fitba, not helped by the state of the pitch. I'll no bother with the extra time, Spurs v Arsenal for me, I prefer players that can pass to their own team. Quote

Arsenal are the real deal. 36 mins. Quote

I enjoyed watching Arteta as a player. He is looking like the real deal as a manager. The EPL needed a fresh approach and team to deal with the dominance of Liverpool and Man City over the last few years. I am still not convinced that Howe at Newcastle is the right choice. Quote

Not quite sure what you're looking for the EPL to do when teams dominate, this happens in almost every major league in the world, unless you're meaning you'd have preferred to see a team break the domination? This season there has been a change, Liverpool have been honking for day one and City are wobbling but there's a long way to go. Man United are starting to look like they can challenge and I'm also puzzled why, at this stage, you can question the appointment of Howe at Newcastle who have only lost one game all season. As I said, a long way to go but certainly there's more teams challenging this season and the standard is mostly outstanding. I watched Brighton demolish Liverpool yesterday and the football they played was outstanding. Quote
guinness Posted January 15, 2023 Report Posted January 15, 2023 Tottenham coming back into it but Arsenal goalie having a good game. Quote

faraway saint Posted January 19, 2023 Report Posted January 19, 2023 (edited) No watching it but Man City 0-2 Spurs, half time. City's recent form is looking shaky, not sure what's changed but seem to have lost that spark. In saying that, probably come back and win the game tonight. faraway saint Posted January 22, 2023 Report Posted January 22, 2023 Just got in and tuned into the Man City v Wolves match, good timing, just in time to see the machine score his 2nd and 3rd goals. 3-0 53 mins. Quote
faraway saint Posted January 22, 2023 Report Posted January 22, 2023 Arsenal 0-1 Man Utd, the man of the moment Rashford with a great strike right into the bottom corner. I said recently United are certainly becoming a real threat to the current big boys, Ferguson, who is in attendance, must be quietly purring. 17 mins. Quote
