I don’t think Martindale would ever get a gig with us When we had to sack three players the term “Family Club” was well used Can’t see us giving the job to someone who already has a serious conviction

While I don't want Martindale anywhere near our club it would be totally wrong for a so called "family club" to refuse to take someone on who has served their time and has, on the face of it, been rehabilitated. In fact. It would be the very opposite of the essence of a family club to take his spent conviction as a reason for not employing him.

The Champions League final coming up with PSG, who, at times, have been superb, against Inter who themselves have been electric up front.

Quite often two very good sides can cancel each other out but while both teams have goals in them they also can be fragile in defence.

Add all that together and it's got goals written all over it.

I've no real allegiance for either team so I'll just sit back and enjoy the football on show.

PSG 2-0 Inter, they are quite a team.

20 mins.

Inter not been in it so far.

2-0 half time.

Inter not really been in it, a couple of headers, that's, about it from them.

PSG are just a joy, press high, move the ball quickly and they pass to their own players more often than not.

Inter need a goal and fast after half time

PSG 4-0 Inter, not much more to say, destroyed Milan.

Great advert for football.

72 mins.

PSG 5-0 Inter, an 18 year old sub, the joy when he crashed it in, aye, superb.

86 mins.

Well said for the most part but, as far as the second "blight " is concerned, it's not something that's making a come back. It's something that's never really went away. We celebrated in much the same way a couple of seasons ago when we won the penalty shoot out v DU. Exuberance is part and parcel of watching the less successful sides and it's the lows that make the highs so much more enjoyable. I know the game wasn't technically over but, let's be honest, It REALLY was. Watching your local club is almost like a drug. You know you'll suffer but, at the time, you think you need it so, when the drug actually does works, it can overawe you.

Not saying it's right but I can see where adults can regress to youthful actions. I believe most will feel silly and probably suffer physically later.

Yeah, you're right about it not really going away and probably spot on regarding the bit in bold also. 👍

Greeks 0-0 Rangers, half time.

Rangers getting slaughtered, one way traffic doesn't cover it.

The Greeks look pretty good apart from finishing.

Rangers are slow, no quality and look as though they're hanging onto their 2 goal advantage to get through.

A dangerous game.

The referee has been excellent.

Greeks 1-0 Rangers, after an eternity goal given.

Rangers No 24 is a liability, slower than a week in jail.

55 mins.

Greeks 1-1 Rangers, final score.

Hard to believe how Rangers got through.

The Greeks were very good but their finishing was tragic.

Rangers, well, already said, poor all over the park.

Still, it's all about the results to get to the next qualifying round.

Pity we weren't playing them this weekend. 🙄

I'm glad I didn't get involved with this.

Can you imagine the furore if we all agreed on one thread?

I was bullied into watching the Arbroath v Ayr game last night.

So, Arbroath lost a goal after 5 minutes and I thought "Oh oh, here we go again" as Ayr had stuffed them a few weeks ago in the league cup.

Fortunately Arbroath never read the script as they completely turned the game around and Ayr could hardly get over the half way line for large parts of the game.

Plenty of possession but not too many real chances until just before half time when Arbroath missed two great chances.

Oh, before half time there were a couple of flares thrown from the Arbroath end onto the pitch.

Usual fecking nuggest thuinking it's great fun.

The second half continued pretty much as the first and, thankfully, Arbroath got a well deserved equaliser just before the 90 minutes were up.

A draw was the least Arbroath deserved, going to be a long hard season for a part time club but they should be ok if they continue to play like last night.

Just saw the last half hour of Hearts versus Aberdeen. Not a great game. Hearts looked quite solid but Aberdeen looked exactly the same as last year . Not much up front and unconvincing at the back.
