Spoke to a very experienced goalie this morning, some would say an expert, and while he can see why people "blame" Craig Gordon for the first goal he explained that people forget the delivery/pace of a cross, they only see the player connecting with the ball and that the goalie hasn't come to collect it.

In this case the pace on the ball made it a ball for the attacking team, and also the goalie had no time to react to the header.

He pointed out the foul in the first places was needless from an experienced Scottish midfielder.

As for the 2nd goal, he just laughed at any suggestion Gordon was to blame.

We did discuss the 2nd England goal against Scotland back in June.

Again, in his experienced opinion, the cross was delivered with pace and at such an angle it was unlikely Gordon could have gotten to it. The "blame" that day, if people like to play the blame game, was firmly at the Scotland midfielder who fcuked up in needlessly giving the ball away, usually forgotten.7

Some goals are what they are, well taken goals.

Sounds like your expert () should have been playing instead of Dracula.

Tell Willsie he's talking oot his erse regarding England's second goal

100% Gordon's fault

Before the cross came in he was in perfect position and with a couple of steps forward he would have gather the ball easily as the cross was heading straight to him

But instead he retreats to his line giving Kane time and space for an unchallenged finish

Gordon good shotstopper but not the bravest

The England goal was more debateable, more time and closer than the goal against Slovenia.

But, as I said, no debate the error by an outfield player put us in that position, and as you know, more often these forgotten than any error by a goalie.

No actually a lot of people are blaming Armstrong and it's certainly not forgotten

On the Slovenia first goal it wasn't a free kick in the first place

The second from a corner shocking defending, how could any player standing in the middle of goal have no one near him by yards

I though Fletchers "tackle" was unnecessary, tackled when he could have stood his ground.

Aye, the 2nd goal was a strange one as the scorer has almost 2 yards space, the defence seemed to freeze but nobody could, seriously, blame Gordon for that one?

To be new Manager

Jack Ross could do it part time and still be our Boss.

Sam Allardyce

or

Michael O'Neill

Nobody else will do, especially not Paul Fecking Lambert.

Or Derek McInnes who is a shite Manager and would send the Country to sleep with his Press Conferences. Boring Bassa.

I don’t normally comment on other people’s opinions as a rule as I like to see various opinions, but in this instance, you really do talk pish sometimes.

Apologies, but you really do.

Oh come on. TC can identify a bad football manager with his eyes closed.

Remember he was never fooled by Jack Ross. What scotland needs is experience, maybe in the Gus McPherson mould. He already knows how to play at Hampden....never had a problem there......ever.
