How do opponents approach it? How do fans act/react? Get f**king right into them. Kid on they are England for 90 minutes. We have a World Cup in Quatar to qualify for. FECKEM !!!!

munoz
Now we'll know how England feel, ie everyone outside Scotland will want us to lose against Ukraine.
Cookie Monster
How can a Country at war play an international game of football? They might not be then
Cookie Monster
Mentioned this previously, very unfair for us, or Ukraine, having to play 2 critical games in 4 days when Wales can be fresh, even if they have a friendly when we play Ukraine. They should have been playing their game against Austria the same night we play Ukraine. It happens quite a lot. IE in the group stages there was 5 out of the 10 groups in the European area, that would have had the possibility of the same scenario. Because they only had 5 countries in their group. Also, what if the rearranged Austria/Wales game got called off for whatever reason. Folk would have been moaning it should have been played on the original date.

Oh, unless Putin is eying up Wales? 😜

markgilson80
I watched these matches and supported the Ukrainian team. I also play football for a long time and my friend advised me to call the GoPowerSports phone number to ask them about the best sports equipment that I can use in my training. They contacted me pretty quickly and told me about interesting modern leg trainers.
faraway saint
The closer this game gets the less chance I can see that Ukraine will be able to field a team, certainly not a team that are fully focused. No sign the tragedy going on in the Ukraine is going to stop anytime soon.
stlucifer
Given the fact things are still up in the air with this fixture, surely it would make more sense to simply let Ukraine through to the WC adding them to one of the four team leagues and let Scotland and Wales fight it out for the official place. That way, should Ukraine be unable to fulfil their commitments, it would be a case reverting their league back to four. Even giving all the other teams a 3-0 victory.

Anyhow, back in the real world Ukraine will try, as difficult as it will be, to use the tragic war as motivation for this crunch game. Ukraine's footballers say messages of encouragement from the front line have given them the determination to face Scotland in the delayed World Cup play-off semi-final at Hampden. The squad has been forced to set up camp in Slovenia because of the ongoing war - having managed to leave their homeland amid the Russian invasion - and will play several friendlies before facing Scotland on 1 June. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61353163

faraway saint
A wee taster tonight on BBC1, Scotland - The Passion of the Play-Offs. A look back over play off history since 1961. Should be some great goals and players on view.
