It’s crazy , you would think at that level the players wouldn’t go in like amateurs , two penalties that should have been avoided.

100%, add in a pass from the invisible man McLean that was pish and it's suicide.

Robbery.

3 individual errors, 3 goals.

Clarke must be exasperated, what can you do when players make stupid decisions.

We can't buy a bit of luck apart from bad luck.

Ralston and Hanley , the two penalty culprits , should be nowhere near the squad , plus Clarke sets up giving Poland far too much respect , playing one up , remembering they are a shadow of previous Polish teams. Nothing to do with bad luck , more to do with a manager who is past his  sell-by date !

Sorry, not sure if you watched the full game.

The score at half time was pure robbery.

It's not unusual in the modern game to play with one "forward" and our two goals came from midfield, one of which would have been sacrificed for your idea of another forward. 🤔

Poland are no great shakes but, as I said, it's not down to the manager when players make individual errors.

We're not blessed with quality, especially at the back.

PS I'm well aware football is a result oriented business and that is a fact that you can't argue with.

Both players were lured into the challenges and the penalty decisions were inevitable.  Ralston had no need or right to get so close that guy who all but left a leg out to trail, he should have taken a step to set himself up for the block rather than a tackle.

As for Hanley, he has had some good appearances for Scotland and unfortunately he is a slightly better than ordinary player who is getting on a bit now.  The attacker stuck a hopeful foot out for a ball that was heading out of play and Hanley duly obliged with a tired looking blocking tackle that was short of the ball.  Done up like a kipper, I'm afraid.

Here's hoping we can get a fit Tierney in central defence for the next round of fixtures (I haven't checked on his injury) and maybe one other central defender (from where I don't know)  Hendry can be good but is prone to mistakes.  Maybe Max Johnston can be brought on to replace Ralston who is sorely exposed at international level.

Pluses were a more aggressive approach and much better involvement from the core players, as well as getting players up the park much more quickly than of late.

Mostly agree.

On the first penalty that's exactly what I said, in wrong position to try to tackle, schoolboy error. I watched vsn Dijk get in a similar position and he As good as stopped rather than tackle.

To give Ralston some credit a great run/pass for our second goal.

Hanleys was worse IMO. Another schoolboy error, better to have went for the block rather than the ball.

I wonder if McTominays hand ball would have been awarded as a pen had it been in his own box as there's been a few "common sense" decisions already this season in England.

Looks like the same starting line up as Thursday.

Options in defence are limited but he should have dropped McLean who, rarely, does anything.

We have better on the bench than him.

We probably have better in the stands supporting us.

Portugal 0-1 Scotland, half time.

As expected they have had tons of possession and been close a few times, Gunn has redeemed himself with a couple of good saves.

Our goal was a thing of beauty, straight off the training ground.

For some reason time seems to be going very slowly 🤔

We must have better than Gunn , same as Thursday a shot he really should have dealt with.

Take it back that was two great saves there , maybe better if we can stop teams shooting from outside the box.
