faraway saint Posted April 1 Report Posted April 1 Things could be worse, Italy have now failed to qualify for the last three World cups. Quote

Swiss_Saint Posted April 1 Report Posted April 1 Stadium is really impressive, great views, decent seats, 2 massive screens which showed replays, lots of space in the concourses downstairs with plenty of snack bars. Toilets not perfect , hard a few grumbles over them ( not enough so queues) and speaking to some Everton fans and at a normal home game at half time you either go to the bar or the toilets the queues don't allow for both. Lots of corporate boxes on both sides of the ground but the dont impact on regular seats, plenty of safe standing and the outside has been done very well. Biggest issue for the stadium is where it is (no i don't mean Liverpool as I live here) but that transport is a problem, nearest station is just over 20 mins walk which is not bad but gets overwhelmed, roads around the stadium are closed off which causes gridlock for the local community not just at match end but for hours. so stadium 8/10 , transport infrastructure 5/10 , pubs/bars/ food options 7/10, Liverpool 10/10 Quote
Swiss_Saint Posted April 1 Report Posted April 1 Oh and game shit, Scotland too slow and laborious in the build ups clumsy in defence, Ivory Coast dodgy at times but impressive when they break Quote

faraway saint Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 (edited) So, I've got two mates who are off to the world cup. One used a travel agent, Barrhead Travel, the other booked everything himself. One was charged £26k for him and his son, covering just about a two week stay. The other, with his wife, has forked out £6.5k for a SEVEN WEEK stay. 🙄 Edited May 30 by faraway saint Quote
faraway saint Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 Strong team, our record under Clarke in friendlies is shite, could do with a morale boost today before heading off to the USA. Quote

stlucifer Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 Christie got MotM. No complaints but I thought there was a case for McLean. Sending off made a massive difference. Good to be ending home games with a victory. Quote
