northstbuddie
Was it too good to last? Derek McInnes is the bookies favourite to take over at Sunderland. If there is a vacancy at Aberdeen, what's the chance of JR doing a 'Fergie' and moving on to Pittodrie? Can St Mirren do anything to stop this from happening or should we just accept the inevitable? scottd
Too soon for JR to go to Aberdeen. If they were looking within Scotland it would be more likely they would go for someone like Alan Archibald.

billyg
McInnes has found his club/level , after failing in England before. Sunderland , over the last few years , have proven to be a difficult club to manage , massive support , but the finance to succeed at the highest level doesn't seem to be there , I think he'll stay at Aberdeen ! Lord Pityme
I think now Sunderland may well take the opportunity to re-build in every dept, so appointing the likes of McInnes, young, time served with some success would be in line with that. Of course there are plenty of other managers who fit that bill. Newcastle achieved the bounce back by holding on to a very experienced, and successful European manager, Brighton followed suit by believing in the great work Houghton had done at other clubs. McInnes isnt in their 'Achievement' league, but he will be cheap!

Callum Gilhooley
I dont know what would attract anyone to the Sunderland job. Tin pot Club with delusions of Grandeur and debt that would drag down some small countries. They also attract some f**kin wierdo fans. Iamhammer
Aberdeen much more likely to go for Wright at St Johnstone, given he has premier league experience.

Cant see it to be honest He's never managed in the top league, and never won anything . The Fakes managers is a more likely candidate, him and John Hughs Edited May 24, 2017 by insaintee
