That is a very encouraging crowd for a womens friendly match.

Free entry for Scotland supporters club members and £5 for everyone else will have helped, but not sustainable to keep doing that.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Men's teams have been trying that tactic for years without ever seeing that sort of response.

What will be interesting will be to see what happens if the team are successful in the World Cup.

Womens World Cup kicks off tonight. (Could have started another thread but I'll leave that to other zoomers)

The first game, France v South Korea.

The fact this game is being shown live on mainstream TV, BBC1, shows how far womens football has come, especially in the last 4 or 5 years.

The viewing figures will be interesting, especially for Scotland v England game on Sunday.

Half time, France 3-0 Poor Korea, only seen a few snippets, France look like a professional team against a junior team.

VAR proves it's worth, ruled a goal correctly offside for France.

Hard to tell if France are very good as Korea are mince.

It took only a couple of minutes for the commentator to mention England's World Cup win in 1966. What the hell has that to do with the Women's World Cup?

Calm down mate, it's not important.

I seen elsewhere it was apparently just 18 seconds.

A World Cup being hosted by France, and a match between France and South Korea.

Can totally see the connection between this and 1966...

The dimensions of the Goalposts should be reduced.

They are too big presently for the lady goalkeepers.

Let's take it a stage further, half the size of the pitch, use one of these instead of a "real" ball........................Image result for plastic football

No need for further changes. Those you mentioned are pants.

The dimensions of the Goalposts should be reduced.

Maybe increase the dimensions of the Goalposts for men. Not many Billy McGann's around presently. Most well over 6 feet.

Patronising or what? It was mooted by others like you and the women don't want it. They want to be equal. There are women over 6 ft tall and male goalkeepers under 5 ft 11"

China playing on the break and unlucky not to be ahead at half time against the Germans.
